Ah, finally someone else who thinks this! I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want to ruffle any feathers. . . But, yeah, I would choose real sugar any day over artificial sweeteners. In fact it is MORE harmful to drink or eat "diet" things than fattening, sugary things.

I also did a thesis paper before on artificial sweeteners.

What about Stevia? Is that Ok as a sweetener?
Nevermind......I should read more of the posts before I ask questions.

Ugg if only you were closer... I'de come pick her up, if for nothing else but to get her some place safer than the road... I hope someone comes to get her. OH! One tip for wrangling goats... If your able to get close enough, and are fast enough to grab a back leg, that is the easiest and quikest way I've found to catch a goat on the run. As long as you don't lift the leg to far up, the poor thing will not get injured.

Hehehe I wonder if my in-laws want to keep a goat in their condo for a couple days.

lol I highly doubt it.

I wish you were closer too! I hate being stuck inside and worried the goat is gonna get chased or hurt. also animal control might grab her and I don't know if they can even keep goats

or if they just put them down

I'd catch her on my lunch break if I had a place to keep her till I got off work... then well.... do they let goats on the metro bus?

Yea just like any little one. Always better for someone other than Mom and Dad. I'm about to send her to stay with her Aunty so I can have a day to myself. Granted I would just clean my house and care for critters, but sometimes thats all I need. My mother is a great help for short amounts of times, but she is disabled and can not keep up with the little one. Plus in my oppinion, she drinks far to much booze, for all the meds she is on... Ok enough of that... Just need to make it through the end of the year, and all will go back to normal hopefully.

Hate to burst the bubble but reality check here. I have a 19 and 21 year old and I will take the 2 year old back anytime!!!!! I feel like I need a forever break at this point. Yay, look forward to the teen years. You'd think that at 18 I have no more responsibilities. Well, as a parent it's a fine line between parenting and enabling. As far as the law is concerned I am no longer responsible but as a parent it's forever and always room for a "parenting moment". Sure, let them go but oh GOD, the stress!!! Like I said, I'd take the 2 year old years back in a heartbeat!!.

Hang on, take a deep breath and lots of pictures, cus soon, faster than you can believe, they will be gone.
And they will maybe come home to you with grandbabies...or they may just come home !

JB :::: Can we have this potluck at someone's home, like a garage or barn (that has no chickens in it?)
Do we have to rent a building ?
And if so, how much is it to rent ?
And, are we having a pot luck or what ??

Good night all~~

Maybe next year you will be here !!

Or! We could do one later in the year, like the end of summer or something, so the weather is MUCH better for travle!

Wish I could talk my DH into letting me host one here! Then we wouldnt have to pay for space rental!

That also sounds good.

Do you sell any of these guys as babies or teenagers? I would like to pick up another 4 or 6 next spring. Not sure why...I don't need any. I want girls though...no roos. Don't want to have to freezer camp.

yup, I have a bunch in the oven right now that will be ready to go in the spring, Cuckoos and BBS Marans...and maybe breed another batch of Olive Eggers as everyone is nuts about the green eggs...and little roos will be gone by then.

oooohhhh, keep me in mind.

I agree, teenagers are not easier. I have a 17 and 15 yo. And when he turns 18, I know the concern/worry (helicopter mom) switch does not turn off...just makes him liable for his own actions. Watch out world.
