I would like to downsize a little and have 5 Lav. AM's from Schaffer and Blehm that are looking for a new home. They are 8 mos old and 2 of them have just started laying. Beautiful birds. I will post them over in the auction forum later today, but thought it would be good to post it here too.

If only my coop were built right now! I know you all are probably getting tired of hearing that, but I have a serious chicken jonesing going on! I see Illia has pm'd... I'm already mentally planning my travel route this spring, hoping to stop here and there in the state to populate my little urban coop.

CR - gorgeous bell - you do beautiful work!

We also had the lightening about midnight last night. DH and I had just turned out the lights and I said, "Man that is some BIG rain" and within seconds, FLASH! and our bedroom sliding door lit up.

I'm also on Facebook - Dana Messina Galagan. I only have a couple of chicken pics up. We have one Blackstar hen who lives in our friends urban coop about 10 minutes away. Ever since I helped her start her little backyard operation last spring, I've been wanting my own. So my FB pics are loaded mostly with a lot onstage photos. I do some acting here in Tacoma and Lakewood. My three primary passions are animals, (I do a lot of fostering for the Humane Society), the theater, and art. I was a photographic retouch and restoration artist for over 30 years, LONG before digital when we used to do all of our work with dyes, pencils, airbrushing, oils, acrylics, pastels - whatever it took to get the job done. I still do quite a bit of photo work now, mostly in Photoshop and Painter and have recently started doing pet portraits in Painter. Lets see if I can post a recent portrait of our Golden Retriever, Gryffin.

I think that's a link to the portrait on my FB page - hope it's visible!

I PM'ed Pinkchick, but I'm not sure it can actually happen. . . We live a good distance from each other, and although I'm passing through Olympia and Aberdeen this Friday, I just might not be able to see her.

Now if someone could nab a bird from her for me, I'd pay em too.

Lost power last night due to a storm and a transformer blew... eggs got down to 73F
Hope they survived since its early with the chickens yet.

Chickielady - You willing to nab a Lav Am and come up to Forks with it?

We could meet up in the southern tip of Forks, so you don't drive as far. (Forks itself stretches from north to south, and my place is 14 miles away from the city itself)
