I am thinking about getting Australorps and maybe Sussex, and Plymouth Rock. But not sure. Would they get along if i got like two of each? I am thinking i want Australorps for sure though. Right now i am not going to get roosters, maybe later on. Egg color and bird color doesn't really matter. I do want chickens that we can easily handle and make very tame Cold weather hardy and foragers would be best.

Well if you want a few mutt chicks that should be great layers I have some buff orp x leghorn or buff orp x rhode island red hatching
But all my purebreds have to wait til spring.
I hope to have some buff orp x easter egger mixes soon.. Hoping they turn out pretty
Been playing with mixing mutts ( oops that's Designer Chickens
) until my purebreds are full grown.
My buff orp x leghorn is a rooster I think and is going to be a creamy color with what looks like a fade pattern... buff color at head white at tail... fading along the way. When he feathers out more I'll take photos
DIYseattle has some light Sussex but I don't know if he has a rooster to get fertile eggs. I think he as a Australorp too. Again no idea if he is selling anything but he has some
Oh and if you want hardy birds that are amazing foragers Chickielady and I have Black Java's a heritage breed known for forging over 50% of their diet.

I didn't even think about mix breeds....Do they have a good temperament? Like being friendly and easy to handle?

In my mostly humble opinion, I think your choices are good. But it would be GREAT if you snuck a couple of Easter Eggers for some color, both in feathers and eggs, and personality. I, myself, (and me?) will always have some EEs or Ameraucanas.
