hi all
its been a while, had finals last week and yesterday i had surgery
my tonsils are out. i hate gargling or drinking water but love applesauce.
pain killer is my new best friend.
its been dumping snow here all morning.
parents are taking care of chickens
my throat feels so weird, the scabbing is annoying. looking in its amazing to see 2 giant holes where the tonsils were... the glands in my neck have reduced in swelling by half since the tonsils were taken out. the Dr. told my parents (while i was sleeping still) that my tonsils were scarred, pitted and rotten.
I made sure they gave me anti-nausea meds to go with my pain killer. though yesterday i didn't make it down the hallway in the hospital once i was discharged before emptying my stomach.
thanks to my moms dog nail cutting skills i need to find a change of clothes because the dog bled on me from both its back feet. awesome, the stains better come out of my jammies and blanket.
tonight i am taking my ambien, didn't last night on the theory the pain meds will knock me out, it did but went out of my system at 3am, and didn't really sleep any more..... one nice perk so far having my tonsils out it seems like i sleep with my mouth closed more often again, though i didn't have my retainer in (already going to have bad morning breath without its help...)
despite my health during my first semester at WSU, it seems most of my final grades are A's and B's with biology 106 being a C+. some i got emails from profs letting me know, and the biology one is an estimate. still waiting for all profs to post final grades online. they were supposed to yesterday by 5pm.....
I saw the chicks the other day, it looks like most of the chicks are fathered by the EE roo. interestingly enough, some do not have tails..... I am curious if i have a small Buff brahma X EE many look to be interesting crosses. but all have gold legs except the jersy giant and somehow i have a blue andulsian chick that turned out normal even though its not a pure cross.... the chicks are almost 2 months old now.
