The call that really irritates me is BofA trying to get me to buy their credit card protection service. They call me at least daily, no matter how many times I tell them I'm not interested. Last night I got home and everyone was cranky because DH was not happy about walking home in the terrible weather, and we were all hungry. I was busy peeling potatoes with a new set of very sharp knives when they called, and I startled and sliced my thumb, a real bloody cut ... it's still seeping through the bandaid. I chewed the caller out (BofA again) ... he's still trying to make his sales pitch "I'm real sorry you got hurt, but if you just give me a minute of your time, should you ever lose your job, we'll continue to make your minimum payment..." And what job would that be? I have not had a paying job in years (didn't tell him I start one on Monday). I don't care what kind of a discount they are giving, I keep that card paid off. I just want them to quit harrassing me with the daily calls! And he tells me "I'll just call back at a more convenient time." "No, No, No! Don't call back, ever! I don't want the service, I don't need the two free credit reports! Get lost FOREVER!"

I bet I'll get another call today. B of A took over this card about 2 years ago when the issueing bank went under. I think they have called every day since they took over the account. I've had it since 89.

Try walking into a BoA branch and ask to sign an opt-out form. I think you can opt-out of any marketing.

For what we spent on the heating system, I just don't think I should be cold. I want a small wood burning stove now. The gas fireplace is cost prohibitive to run anymore.

Try putting in a new filter. thats why mine was blowing cold. With a clogged filter, the fan will just blow and blow but no heat... Might be something as simple as that. Furnace filters are supposed to be changed every 30 days supposedly.

I am happy that you got yours to work. I went out and looked at the furnace,and I was able to get one cover off (and back on I hope). But I am going to have to call DH and ask him for some details. DH is usually very good at cleaning the filters. I do know that the message to clean the filters hasn't shown up on the thermostat yet. I really think that it a big part of me, and the other part is I have drafts coming in from a variety of sources. Right now my gas fireplace is completely covered up. It is totally shut off, but I swear there is a wind coming in from somewhere in there. DH has even stuffed the flue with insulation. I also have hung up insulated fabric over the sliding glass door, and put 2" foam panels in to the skylights. I am still cold, I think it has to do with sitting in this chair. I need to move around more.

Hope everyone is doing good its been windy at home today.

Sold my 2 roosters... gonna miss splish (as in splish splash) my little buff orp/white leghorn roo... he was my tv partner while he was here. The goof loved having his chin rubbed.

Got 2 more empty brooders today so almost ready to start hatching again
