When my family first moved to Washington (I was 4) we bought property outside of Tonasket... got there in the fall, built a 'shelter', that we lived in while the real house was being built. The 'shelter'--it got turned into the chicken coop later! lol!!

*Haller*--did you see to contact Sadie about that beautiful French Door?? That would be perfect for your house!

jbear, Will you be hatching them? Maybe one will be a roo. I love your Mille roo. I have some of these deceased birds eggs in the incubator. Maybe we can trade chicks. Most will be Mottled/Mille splits but hoping to get some offspring from Ricky and Lucy as I hadn't separated anyone yet. Also hope the 2 remaining hens are not too traumatized to continue laying. The reamining roo has great color just not as nice type as Ricky. I still need to get eggs to you or chicks? I have someone named dawn coming to pick up chicks from them that are due on Saturday. Not a new latch, a BARRICADE! That latch has been on that coop for 15 years. Never would have thought since all those years nothing ever got in there. I have a coon trap but have a feeling what it was would be too big for it. Going to put it in front of the door tonight anyway. Going to nail a 2x4 across the door.

Both of my children hae married people of true character. I am blessed with all of the children in my life.

You are indeed quite fortunate and it's good that you have the clarity to recognize fortune even in the midst of your children's challenges. It is my sincere wish that when my daughter gets married some day WAY in the future she is able to find someone as special as I think she is. Good kids deserve good people in their lives!​
