Well first, -
Happy Birthday Robin!!!
Second, whew, LONG day today filled with lots of events.
The Ameraucana of mine who got attacked by a bobcat is now gone. After not going uphill at all, not eating or drinking anything unless I forced it, which she didn't take too well. . . I culled her. While processing, I found out what the issue was. The bobcat bit her from the breast on up to the base of the neck, where the crop comes out, and shattered a few of her bones. With the marrow, blood, and even digesting material seeping into her body, everything went gangrene and digusting over time, thus slowly killing her. It was HORRIBLE and I wish I knew it was happening much earlier!
Past that, on the bright side of things, I had productive fun in the sun today, digging numerous holes for our new orchard we'll be planting as well as preparing a whole crop of Quinoa, setting down old moldy bales of hay and plenty compost. Plus, I got to make myself some delicious pumpkin pudding from scratch. And I mean from the very pumpkin itself, not a can.
