I would love to come sometime also. I just need to have a sitter for Mom. She is completely bed ridden now and resides in a hosp bed in my Living Room. I promised Dad when he was in the hospital before he passed that I would take care of Mom. And so here we are.
My chickens are one of my delights and reading here is a huge part of my outside world communications. It hasn't always been this way, and it won't be for always. But for now, home is where I find my highs and lows.
Off the track there.
Back on the track, I thought of everyone last night and I do hope to meet 'chall someday.

I thought of it earlier today but then got distracted under that blinding light outside. I am pretty much wore out tonight. Got up at 3:00am. Then after getting DW up and going for the day I went and checked on the neighbors. Claire is doing pretty good BUT the Doc says she is to do nothing for the next 3 months. Not even putting away groceries etc. Fortunately she has a wonderful DH who will take care of everything. After that I got busy filling our planting boxes. That was a tough job as I had to go across the road and get the poo/sawdust and haul it over to our house and dump it in the boxes. And since I didn't have any help I had to run the tractor all by myself.

Then when that was done DW was determined we needed to go to hellmart. DW wandered off and I spent a lot of time trying to find her in the store and then 4 hours later we were finally on our way home. And now it looks like we may have to make a run to Shelton tomorrow night.

I would be so up set. I have sent eggs in the past that the postoffice has slammed around but only lost 2 eggs. I got wise and have a good connection and now ship in polyfoam and make my own to fit the eggs and the boxs and no issues now! It is not cheap though and I add a few $ to the shipping and the folks are happy cuz you can use these over and over and rinse them out too.
