I was going to look for the number of drops posted too, but I use a syringe with a 20ga needle and drop it on that way. Just have to be careful not to stab them.

I have my DH or DS help hold while I lift the feathers on the neck and expose some skin. I will see if I can find the other post.

Edited to add:

cheryl You really should get that eye checked. Sight is nothing to mess with. Years ago I had a tiny piece of metal filing hit me in the eye. It was the day before a weeks vacation. I didn't know it was still stuck in there. Needless to say my vacation was not fun and when I finally got home and had it checked it had caused a corneal (sp) ulcer. They had to actually cut out that part of my eye to prevent more damage. I have had enough problems that I can remove most small pieces from my eye and if I have to go to the doc I make sure they have the proper tools and know how to use them. I had one time when the doc gets out the trusty mini mag flash light and a Q tip. Wrong I am out of here.

For what it's worth steel will rust in your eye in about 2 hours !!!!!

I would love to have my eye checked, but do not have medical. And until I have cash in hand, there isnt an entire lot that I can do about it. I flushed my eye out yesterday, have been useing artificial tears, and so far its getting better. Still swollen, "looks like I got socked in the eye."

Luckily it isn't a metal shaving, but sawdust is almost as bad. If it doesnt keep getting better then I will get it looked at. Promiss.

WAIT!!! Cowgirlgrace, that was the dosage for the Ivermectin Pour On, not for Eprenex. I haven't used Eprenex myself, so I don't have the dosage for it!

And, I think the eyedropper would drop drops that are too big. The needle does smaller drops I would think. Course I can't see your eyedropper. I got my needles from jeffers.com

And, here's the thread I got that info from, it's on the first page, down around the 12 post I think:

Its worth bookmarking if you think you might use it!

The egg thing I believe will be worked out.
And this is only 1/3 of the eggs I am setting, one box came A-OK from the same breeder shipping another case today..and she is the one who double boxes so I am taking pictures of her packing to post here.
The smashed eggs came from a newbie, who said he had recieved alot of eggs shipped that way.
Wow..probably not all the way from East to the West coast!
Sounds like everyone is fdoing OK..
I have 10 chicks hatched in the kitchen counter top incubator, and about 50 eggs warming in the sportsman, and 18 more of my BBS Ameraucana eggs and Olive Eggers to hatch today and tomorrow...
Diane's Games, at 9 days, showed bloodviens, all but 1.
The one was a Pumpkin #2 on her markings...So, will candle again in a few days, maybe next Friday as that is lockdown.
I hate to keep handling them.
I am always afraid I will break them !
OK, I better go, and I shall return shortly...
Thanks so much for the Birthday Wishes everyone..(I know Tamara started it all......:lol)

When Miguel wouldn't eat (he had a broken tooth at one point) I added a little low sodium broth to his kibble to tempt his appetite. He also really likes eggs. He likes them raw, but you could scramble them if you prefer. Eggs you have.

Yeah, I have thought of that. Since I'm running errands today I'll be able to pick up canned food for her which will be even more stinky than softened kibble. If it's too outrageously priced or I can't find her brand, then I might try to soak her kibble. It also gives her more hydration with either one which will be good.

Oh yeah! EGGS! How on earth did I forget eggs?

I'm having one of those days. Huddled up under a blanket, doing my best to stay warm. Just can't seem to get rid of this chill.

Searching through coop posts, trying to figure out how to attach exterior nesting boxes, without having to worry about them sagging, or all together falling off the coop...

I would emagine just screwing them securely into place should be enough to hold them up. Guess I'm just an over thinker and a worrier too... Would 3 nest boxes be enough for a coop built for 8 birds? I so feel like I have NO IDEA what I am doing anymore. lol

What I have seen recommended is one nest per 4 hens so you should be fine.
I have 23 hens and 15 nests. The hens only use about 6 of those boxes. They seem to have favorite nests and get REALLY upset if somebody is in thier nest taking too long. Some times they will even climb in on top of each other.
