There should be pics on the site, they are from fall though. We sell eggs, we get about 2 eggs a day so it wont be alot. They are standards, the female has won many awards at APA shows.

*Edited to add if you pick them up/meet us the chicks are $3, not $4 like the site says, we give a discount because we dont have to deal with the shipping hassles.

Only in town! LOL Where we live, we CAN get dial up but it used to connect at like 24 whatevers & would time out before I could even get onto a website. LOL Rumor has it that they'll be updating our phone lines which will make it possible to get high speed internet sooner than later. But we'll see.

June 7th Pistils Nursery will have a back yard chicken meeting where people can purchase pullets and one year old hens to set up your own backyard hens and coop info. This meeting helps people learn about the self sustaining benefits of raising backyard hens and Portland and SW WA chicken laws. If you want to see if the breed of hen you want will be available please call Dennis at 503-709-3064 or the nursery 503-288-4889.

I know I'm getting in late on this post but we live in Snohomish, WA and this is our first year raising chickens. We are having a lot of fun and looooooooooving all the fresh eggs and manure for the compost pile. Its nice to see there are so many other chicken people close by.

We're in Duvall, 26 miles NE of Safeco field. So happy to finally get some chicks after four long years. The coop is almost finished. I think the girls, I mean chicks, are tired of the garage.

I got the chicken bug after my brother started raising the all the "exotic chicks" that came with the batch of 25 snake food from Mc Murrary's. There's just something about a pet that gives back.

A few years ago we went to the Seattle Tilth Coop Tour and it was lots of fun, a Coop of Dreams tour except the coops were more practical than the Street of Dreams houses. I recommend it.

I'm so happy to have found this forum. It's great to hear everyone's first hand experiences. Its also great how civil this forum is. Just like the message boards I used to know.
