If you can train them to dust around the house, you'll have it made! $$

Spoke too soon....it's snowing HARD here. Luckily, I'm not going to work until 1pm today...they are laying new carpet in our building and the glue & stuff they seal the seams with is really smelly and says on the label it causes birth defects! So I'm only going in for our court (which is not in our building)....and then we're coming home and heading off to Seattle for the weekend!

These were actually all queen or king size. The pics are on the design wall, mostly before they were completely assembled

I did a small a couple with intention of making it a wall hanging, but haven't found a place to really hang them yet. It was quite difficult and consuming to get the pieces all correct, but it was a good diversion from normal quilting --

I have a quilt that my Nana made for me years ago, She it 93 now and mine was the last one she was able to complete by herself. I love it, but it is for a twin or full bed, and I was hoping that if I had a girl I could use it in her room. Didn't happen. I got blessed with two boys.

Oh well, I treasure it because she made it for me and she used squares of material from all the clothes she used to make me, my sister when we were little.

She has dementia now and hasa hard time remembering things like where we live and which of her children I belong to. It's sad.

Well with all the quilting chatter going on I just caint resist throwing this out there. I still have the small quilt my (late) Great Grandma made when I was little. It is all hand sewn and has a soft (semi) fuzzy underside with little space ships. I can remember her making quilts on a huge frame with the material all rolled up. She started in the center and as she worked each side out she would unroll more. These were all hand cut pieces and all hand sewn.

Don't discount your boys yet! My father used to quilt with my great grandmother!
