pips&peeps :

Who's going to the Monroe show???

Who wants me to bring them something if it is available???

Just asking now so I can take notes and get eggs set, etc.

I am! If you have any more female sebbies (even young ones) I'd take one for sure!

Last night I went to bed egghasted and there was 1 gane OUT.
This morning, another, so 2.
Then we went to the store, and came home (gone 1 hour) and there was 6 !!!!!!
Then after lunch I peeked, and there was 7...
Then I just went in to clean chick pens, and there is 8!!!!!!!!
One more P-1 to go.
These are all seperate matings with the same Cock Pumpkin Hulsey.
Different hens.
So in seperate hatching baskets.
Their colors are so amazing!
And they are so docile !
They hatch and rest/sleep, unlike layers that drunkingly stagger around, these little guys hunker down.
They remind me so much of pheasant chicks, they clump and stay together.
In a few minutes they are going in the chick pen...the last one almost dry now.

There is one more egg that has pipped, and has not zipped yet, but I have built humidity and can swoop the other hatched basket out fast...are they adorable or what ?
Exotic like leapard designs.
I love the chocolate colored ones...
Diane are you soooo eggcited or what ?
All your important matings hatched !!!!!!!!!!!

Geeze, I wish all my hatches went this good.
man I love this old home made incubator !
Well, it has a gQF element & thermostat (I bought it from Surehatch parts) and DH screwed it to the lid, and I just pugged it in.
We have a plastic turner from the feed store to put in it. It is sooo right on and reliable..I love it !!

You have to learn!
from what I hear, that brinsnea will do all the thinking for you.
And it should come with an instruction booklet, PLUS you have all of us to help you!
