We need to schedule the next secret cult meeting.....
I can meet up on Wed/Thurs/Fri in march.

Dunno if anyone has ever been to Beth's cafe but its open 24/7... Its a great grease joint but heck any place that can serve a 12 egg omelet, everything in it, served on a pizza platter of hash browns can't be all bad I've been going there since knee high and I'm still alive

This place or Blueducklings restaurant for brunch one weekend? I amnot real familiar with Seattle but somewhere near the 1-90 and i-5 are for ease of those coming from the south or east? Not that its really that much closer.

hey that is one size away form Phelps.
Does he swim???

He wears a 14 now (and he's only 12)...

He loves to swim, but I can't get him interested in joining a swim team. He was once a very good swimmer too. I showed videos of Phelps, even showed that he has the same issues paying attention at school, and he has the same build too (Alex is over 6'1" now). Just can't get hime interested. Too bad, ever since he started swim lessons as a toddler, it seemed like it should be his sport. He prefers soccer and wrestling.

Can't get the kids interested in basketball either ... the beautiful hoop sits unused on our driveway. DH and I sometimes use it, but not the kids.

My son turns 12 tomorrow.
He wears a size 7 and is almost 5'.
What are you feeding your boy?
Mine loves soccer & BSA.
Joined the swim team, but did not enjoy it even though he adores Phelps.
We even went to the Water Cube so we could get some of that pool water.

The water did not have enough juju to keep him in the swim team.

I-90/I-5 would be great! (I-90/I-405 would be even better

, and I-90/Hwy 18 would be awesome, but there is nowhere to meet there but my house in about 8 more miles East)

Where is blueducklings restaurant?

My mom has 2 Kosher/vegetarian restaurants. Its called : Teapot Vegetarian House.
one is located on Capitol Hill in Seattle, across from the Group Health Hospital
the other is in Redmond/Bellevue, next to Macy's furniture gallery on 24th Ave
Saturdays are good days. We can meet there no problem.
You can access the menu by going to www.teapotvegetarianhouse.com

Sounds like one of Alex's friends ... shortest kid at the school, and the same age.

The boy eats just about everything that is not nailed down and a few things that are! Yesterday I noticed we had 3 loaves of bread in the pantry, so I tossed one into the freezer. This morning I went to make some toast and we were down to just a few slices! I'm not sure when he ate the rest - we had salmon, rice and spinach salad for dinner and it looked like he had Mt. Rainier on his plate! He loves vegetables, Japanese food, most Thai food, Indian food ... The only things he won't eat are sauer kraut, pickled herring (or pickled anything), bell peppers that have been cooked, and tomatoes that are not made into sauce, and when he was little, he liked all those thins as well! DD on the other hand ... if it has color, she won't eat it!

Mr. Hallerlake and I are thinking about going to Port Townsend tomorrow just to get away for the day.

I miss Beths Cafe!!! At one point in time I was a regular there. lol I miss the city some times, but I refuse to raise my DD there... If we were to ever move back to the east side of the sound, I think we would wind up in South King county. But thats a HUGE IF!

If anyone ever comes over to the Kitsap Penninsula, send me a message! Its rare that anyone ventures out this way.

Yep Im about 10 minutes away from Port Gamble! Its a cute little neighborhood, they try to call it a town, but I have a hard time calling it that. lol Blink and you miss it. I love the church in Port Gamble Such a cute building, and the victorian type/era houses I absolutely love!

LOL your girls want to see paranormal happenings? lol Let me take them to what the locals call the "blue mist cemetary." Its on Bainbridge Island, and garenteed to freak the kids out. lol

My sister and mother did the 101 loop a couple years ago. Stopped at 1st beach, collected a bunch of sand, rocks, and driftwood. Thought they could sell it on Ebay!

Well they never sold any of it, and now its all sitting in a shed... Ah the whims of crazy women. lol

I was on th phone talking to a tech this afternoon. My Ip address had disappeared and so had the file I normally use to find it. The tech was telling me to do things in Geek. Suddenly, I heard the voice of my son who speaks Geek. He spent an hour working over the computer, but I am finally able to get on line again. I was going into withdrawal.
