Hatching double yolkers is almost always unsuccessful, but here is a fascinating thread where a BYCer did it. Is the same person in the posted video.

The hard part, is telling her NO she cannot handle them, cuz wee babes will squeeze the little chickies until their eye balls pop out.
RFF::::::: Good to hear youe cougar will get to going!! And hope the baby goats are OK!
Teach her the one finger touch.
Tell her the touch can only be as big as the fingers on the chick.
She's pretty good about listening to me when I tell her to look with her eyes and not with her hands. Even so I will be putting a lock on the crate. lol

We sure are almost neighbors. My DIL is from Enumclaw. Her parents were dairy farmers.
The chickens I had about 10 years ago were Araucanas. They were fun. The reddish girls laid the green eggs and the black & white ones laid the blue eggs. Is this typical or just what I got? I want to get some more as well as some Marans.
Better get busy on the coops! Maybe it will be dryer tomorrow. Sigh.
