Hello I was wondering if anyone one would be interested in two muscovy ducks that need a new home. They are about 6 months old and very friendly. Both are males. If interested please let me know. Thanks

I love your place too would love to live out that way but DH needs beach and kayaking in the sound

Thanks! I grew up on an island in the sound, so had my time with the beach and salt water. I still love the sound and going back to visit. To me the trade off in the weather is so much worth leaving the sound. Lake Chelan is a nice clean lake and Stehekin is just a boat ride away to get the feel of the "west side". I also like our kids going to a smaller school. They get a lot more personal attention over here.

You mean this rain? I really need to run about 160 ft. of fence and the ground is so wet my posts are not secure enough (even with a bag of cement in for each post). I need to be working on the addition to my big coop, but it is so wet I don't want to use an electric saw outside. I would love to be back on the other side of the Cascades. It may be a little cooler in the winter, but at least it is DRY.

Sorry, but I am under a deadline with my construction and it is so frustrating not to be able to get out there and get it done. All my lumber is sitting in the rain. I dug my fence post holes in the rain. I hauled 60# bags of concrete up to the chicken run in the rain. My granddaughter and I loaded up half a truckload of pumpkins in the rain. I am sick of rain and I have months to go before it gets dry again!

Like I said in my last post, sometimes I think my chickens are smarter than I am! I'm having trouble putting together the nicknames people use on here with their REAL names. Didn't know IMP was Russ.

So lets do the math on bags of feed bought. I count TWO, right?? and Mr Smith goe's through one ( ??) bag a week?
If thats correct I will call on Sunday or Mon and order another along with 20# of chicken scratch

Hey as far as a picinc goes, summer is far off. But cottage Lake in Woodinville is a Great place, you can rent the Big. Shelter LOTS and LOTS of room for our FLOCKS to run.

Hi Ron,

I'll try to help you out here.

You know Russ is Imp, Donna is Rainplace, Anne is Nyrial, Michelle is crazychickenluver. I am probably missing someone, but that will do for now. Does that help? So Michelle bought two, I think Donna is buying another one today. He should be good for three weeks. I was going to wait a couple of weeks. I don't want to dump too much on him at once. I was thinking about a bag or scratch too. I will buy another one down the road a ways. So, maybe wait a week or so before buying him more feed. I love the Cottage lake park, if we want to do it before summer. I can also offer up my house. We have lots of room outdoors and can move the party indoors if we need to. Just thought I would throw that out.

Now I have a serious problem. Not only do I have a bantam rhode island red rooster I now have a black silkie that is finally trying to crow also. I am having surgery soon and my DH tells me someone has to go so please anyone who is close enough.

I have pictures of them on my blog as long as they find a good home I am open to offers

They are both sweet roosters and have not tried to attack at all.
I am open to any offer and just want to find a good home for at least one of them.

Thanks, that helps alot. Ok so I will wait until a week from this Sunday. Are they open on Sunday's? to order a bag. I'm sure evryone here will keep in touch.

Back in the 1960's Woodinville was COUNTRY, it was way out in the sticks. NO Albertsons or QFC. Just woods, woods, and more woods Cottage lake was called Norm's Resort. You could camp there. My grand-parents would camp there for the whole month of August and we would go out and spend a week or more with them. The school buses would bring kids out everyday for swimming lessons. Those were the days!!!

I had a rough weekend ended up in the hospital. So I am just catching up on whats going on around here. So much, I feel like I have been away for weeks. I added Oyster shell to the order for Micheal Smith. Wasn't sure what else I could do, but I am willing to help. I hope everyone else is OK.

Hey Guys;

I never thought of chicken scratch or the oyster shells glad you guys are here to bring those up. I sent a message to Michael just to checkand make sure he was able to pick everything up with no problems. Has there been an update on Thanksgiving for them and if they are ok. LEt me know. I will see if I can contribute to that.

On a side note...I am leaving to take my two boys to Disneyland on Sunday!!! THey are 7 and 6 and have never been there. I cannot wait!!!!! It took me three years to save the money becauseI am a single mom and am raising them alone so this will be a grreat treat. Anyone been there that can give little tips that would be great!! THe last time I was there was in 1991.

Who is that beautiful bird?

That is one of my breeder Black Coppers that I hatched from Cree Farms offspring in Seabeck, WA. last year.
He sure is a nice one, that's for sure!!!
I am currently hatching Black Coppers and Barnevelders as they love the cold weather and do not stop breeding in the colder months.
Some of the eggs pitchered in my albums are of the eggs that are now full grown birds.
Very, very dark, and beautiful eggs and birds.
The Blacks are of Wade Jeane lines and have the feathered leggs.

I just posted a whole bunch of new uploads, anyone like pitchers?
Here is a pair of my Barnevelders,
