since you are the closes to him, would you have the time to stop by and say "HI" from ALL of us. Maybe you could tell what kind of help we could give them???

As far as the THANKSGIVING THING maybe you (IMP) could fine what they are doing for T.G.. we could bring them the stuff OR I think all the Grocery Stores sell already prepared dinners in all different sizes (number of people). We bought Albertson's two years in a row. It was great!

Some of you said you would like to help this family but times are tight at your house, PLEASE DO NOT feel obligated, none of us want you to short yourselves!!

So if someone can stop buy (or call) and see this family to find out what their Thanks Giving plans are, it would help us decide how to best help them.

Thanks! I grew up on an island in the sound, so had my time with the beach and salt water. I still love the sound and going back to visit. To me the trade off in the weather is so much worth leaving the sound. Lake Chelan is a nice clean lake and Stehekin is just a boat ride away to get the feel of the "west side". I also like our kids going to a smaller school. They get a lot more personal attention over here.

Hi all,
Just got off the phone with Michelle. (She just got out of class and doesn't know when she'll be on BYC again)

The contact person at Reber is Leanne. Michelle went ahead and purchased 2 bags of feed and it is at will call. Reber is going to call Michael and let him know that he can pick it up. That seemed to be the best.

Michelle also asked if I would contact Michael to see about any other needs, and if possible go over and see him.

I'll keep everyone informed.

My kids are all grown now so we are waiting to get our half acre place fixed up and find us bigger lot where there is plenty of sun to grow everything I want to grow. Right now we have neighbors real close to us and there are huge trees all around us that slowly shutting out the sun that I need to raise veggies for us.

Hi Everyone!! Sorry it took so long to check back in. Leanne at Reber said that all we have to do is call them and let them know we are buying feed for MIchael Smith and they will take care of him and call him with the purchase( he came by today and gave them his information). I purchased 2 bags today and it came to 28.00 for the two. He was supposed to come in today by 6pm to pick them up. Thanks again to everybody that took up this cause!

Oh I would love to come to a picnic by the way!!!!

I head out to Holden Village every year. We often take the boat from there to Stehekin. I love it! Once all the boys are out of the house, I plan to do a year or two year volunteer stint at the village.

Donna, I PM'd her and she is working on the design of the house. She doesn't know when she will be able to get the building materials together, so I thought we could keep an eye out on craigs list or freecycle for wood and stuff. I think she was wanting to keep the ducks and turkeys together. She says they seem to really like each other. So the enclosure is going to have to be ALOT bigger than what she was originally planning.

I have some cedar pieces laying around here. I'll take a picture tomorrow of the pile and see if there's anything she could use.
