I got the 3G29 complete brooder element, wafer therm & all right here in one unit, $73 + shipping..works FANTASTIC!!!!!!
Bolt it onto the top of a cabinet (a metal lid is recommended but it never gets really hot...

I just talked to CR, and he is at home, and getting DW settled & making dinner.

Edited to add: This fall on the ice, twice, sounds like the falls I had, that tore all the ligaments out of my left knee..it was BAD!!

RFF: what is the heat source in the incubators, just a light bulb ?

FYI: I made a cabinet incubator using part of one of those big boxes I am using in my garden, remember those ?
DH built a door, I bought the same egg turners at the feed store, and went on line, and for $75 (I think) I ordered the replacement element & thermostst for a GQF brooder.
DH screwed it to the top and presto!
A GQF hatching incubator.
I will post a link...

It has a light bulb and a wafer or two and a fan....
