Looks like 7-10 days sorry.

Is there anyone going to the show that has decent (but not necessarily "show") partridge rocks? I would be interested in buying either chicks or adults. PM me please. Thank you.

I candled my Brabanter eggs. Four definitely seem to be doing something, two are no goes, and one looks like it may have started and quit. For now they're all back in the incubator until I candle again before lock down. I don't trust my judgement enough to throw any out yet. If the precentages hold, I should get another six from Rainwolf's eleven. If half of them are roos, and I cull all but one, I'll have a flock of five hens and one roo. I think this is what they call counting one's chickens before they hatch.

My sister uses chicken feed. It's cheaper than the organic kitty litter she was buying.

not quite -- it's a 3-pan litter box

two solid pans -- and one that has a plastic mesh bottom

all three nest together with the mesh bottom one on top

lift that when you need to scoop litter, the relatively clean litter falls through, the clumps stay

dump the mesh bottom one wherever you dump used litter

then, separate the two solid pans --- put the mesh bottom one (freshly cleaned ?) inside the pan that was on the bottom (also clean)

dump the relatively clean litter from the pan it filtered into --- into the pan with the mesh bottom, which is inside the other solid one

rinse that solid one you just dumped out, and put it on the bottom of the stack, then put the privacy cover back on the whole shebang

not mechanized, just easy -- no manual scooping, and far less dust

The dust is what gets me, and my cat is sort of like my hens - like to roll in fresh litter. Nothing like picking up my kitty for a hug and smelling litter dust, Yuck! I might try the one you have, no mechanical problems there (other than lazy operator as is sometimes my case).

those English line Orps are ... FANNNNN TASTIC

I have to remind myself that seven EE chicks are enough .....

Great you are on top of it. I used to live out that direction near the Tolt Pipeline trail (Woodinville address, Redmond phone prefix and Unincorperated part of the county), and still head out there quite often as my friends did not move with me. I miss walking the trail too. I used to walk it nearly evey morning from Mink Rd to where it overlooks the Snoqualmie River.

its a pretty nice area, I live up on the hill on the Sultan side of things. I like it up here too. very very quiet! the everett water pipeline goes right past my house. out behind are DNR and a large chunk of private property that we ride on sometimes. dirt bikes have taken over though so not to fun on horses to meet a dirt bike in a corner lol

That totally makes sense! I bought Swheat Step for a while and now I tried "Worlds best Cat Litter " which is corn - both look like and smell like chicken feed, and chicken feed is much cheaper! I made the mistake of using swheat step in my garden shed litter-box for a colony of feral cats that I adopted. The litter attracted lots of mice and was quickly eaten! The cats were not doing their job due to the raccoons that were attracted to the shed by the cat food!
