All is well here..stopped by Mom and Dad'd and dug 6 or 7 raspberries for JB..and is CR going to be at the show ?
I may go to Chehalis soon, drop off birds, drive down & get feed, and DH is looking for well pump wire, and think there is a place out there, CR need you to look & see in your phone book, a well pump & wire place.

Cheri, so glad you like Illia's gentleman, is he doing his job or in confinement ?
He is such a nice rooster, I really like him alot.
OK, where is all the WA peeps?

I am collecting Blue ameraucana eggs, second generation back to blue ameraucana Olive eggs, and Rhode Island white eggs in case anyone falls in love with Mr MOT.

A big order of SQ Buckeye eggs were supposed to be here this morning, and were not.
We tried to intercept them in Olympia, and could not, so they are more than likely sitting in the Raymond Post Office all nice & warm...

.I am worried about partial developement & all going to blood rings

I have Zgoatlady's BCM eggs in lockdown (didn't that go fast Cheri???) and pip is Monday.

Ok I better fix dinner for family so they will let me get more eggs to hatch and chickens. Little do they know that I want 3 new breeds now..Or at least 2 new breeds and a new color in one lol.
Oh he's going to kill me for this..

I also have a serious issue to tell you all about when hatching.
Chickens go to sleep when it is dark.
So do chicks.
I have hatched alot of them and have noticed that one incubator I have, has no light in it at all, and the other day had a chick pip on time & was 3/4 zipped, when we went to bed, and shut the lights off.
As I always do get up in the night to potty, and check the incubators, the little chick was sound asleep, and as I suspected, all dried up, the membrane glued to him.
So I turned on the lights, grabbed him quickly from the incubator, and carefully un corked him, laying the chick on his side back in the incubator.
Never happens in my other incubators, so I got to thinking & realized, he went to sleep!
Of course!
he is a chicken!
So, from now on, during pip, the light stays on so they do not stop pipping!
Just saying...
