I was mucking out my chicken run. It is now sitting in a pile in the pen until I can get the tractor to it....the muck underneath is frozen soilid, but if it gets up to 50 again today, I am hoping that it will thaw. The chickens were playing king of the hill on the pile.

I can sympathize with your mud. It is awful.

Great Job. They sound wonderful. I just imagine them in my yard. They sound beatiful.

Just to give ya an idea .... The first one was ringing from the time I hit it until I turned the camera away. I am working o DLing vid of Ogress'shanging on my bantam coop.

The weirdest thing just happen 10 minutes a go when I was letting my chickens out of the barn into their run. I was standing in the run up against the barn, when a hawk (red tail, chicken hawk ???) came flying over the barn and ran into my five foot high fence. he got caught by his feet and was hanging there by one foot. he finally got loose and dropped to the ground and sat there for a minute then flew into the woods. He was the size of my chickens (maybe smaller).

Would a hawk attack a chicken as big as him??

I can't cover my run because it is 65 X 55 ft and soon to be bigger

Maybe or maybe it couldn't tell the size. Also Ron try putting something like baleing twin over the run ansd then tie some old CD's or surveyors ribbon on it. Make a checkerboard pattern.
