It's sunny here, too, but I'm waiting on a phone call, so I can't go get something done.

Yep, Black Coppers. Have many, but my early laying OE has a particular line who are behind her. Would pair up with Wheatens if I didn't have so few girls to work with, and my boys are a little hard to work with. They court more than mate.

As for bunny names - Great idea.

What color are these "olive" eggs exactly? I have an "araucana" that has khaki green colored eggs maybe its the same? If so what can I breed her to to get more eggs this color!

I would love some, but are they hardy for over here? What is Tulameen? I just love raspberries.

eta: If you even still have any. No problem. I had planned on buying some starts this spring from over here.

Stevenson is up the Columbia river about 40+/- miles from Portland/Vancouver. It is in WA.

I was guessing it was in Stevens County. Looks like I was wrong.

I did not know where it was....but it sounds like complete opposite end of the state.

eta: Because the long-legged 13 lb chihuahua just crammed herself onto my lap and I had to make corrections.

LOL...I have a broody too. and incubator that is to be delivered tomorrow. 3 girlies from you on SAturday and 2 from Zgoatlady. I am going to be having chickens coming out my ears. LOL.

Isn't it exciting? My Brinsea is due to arrive today. Just tracked it and it's in Redmond, WA right now. Builders are due to arrive this morning to get back to work on the coop, so I'm getting taco soup on in the crockpot. They're setting up a canopy in the backyard so they can continue working even through showers, and have assured me they are just a few days away from completion. I'll be picking up my FIRST two pullets from Pips&Peeps this weekend and am so excited!

So when are you going to start hatching and what are you hatching first?

It is so very exciting. I can't believe how many chickens I am going to have in just a few days....sheesh.

CL has/had Californians and they are a great meat rabbit. I know she just sold some, so I do not know if she still does. I used to raise French lop to show, they were big enough that if they were not show quality I butchered whatever I wanted. There are quite a few other meat rabbits (not enough cofee yet, I can't think of them)....but maybe CL can hook you up. I think she soild them to Illia...maybe Illia can hook ya' up here soon. Rabbits are super easy to butcher and I think they taste great. My DH just can't handle the idea of looking at faces and then eating them....mind you I asked him where does he think the beef and chicken in the freezer come from? I tell him it had a face....his response: I never had to see it.
