Hi gang!!
The belly button start up button on the computer took a dive & would not start & open...so we took it to a shop.
While at the shop, I was hungry so had a couple small handfuls of peanuts..and 45 minutes later I was shaking, chills from hell, stabbing gut pains, went on all night, freezing chills, shaking & teeth chattering stabbing pains..
I am still in pain now but better.
This is the first time I have ever had a reaction to peanuts.
Until now, I did not think you could have a celiac-like reaction to anything but gluten when you have celiac disease...so I am weak, tired and will pop in when I can...and no chance to read all the posts.
So did I see that correctly ?
Illia's does had no bunnies ?
Wow that is strange, they mated well, 2X a doe, and the ones here popped out a standard 6 or so bunnies.
Well, I am off the rest, will log in tomorrow for a bit~~

I am very, very sorry to hear this. Do your parents live near you?

They are not quite a mile away, on Greenwood. I convinced them to move into assisted living about a year ago.

I'm so sorry. That is so difficult when we face losing our parents. I hope neither of them have to suffer much and live full lives to the end with lots of love.

My dad died of lung cancer, at least thats where it started. He was a smoker. He ended up dieing from it going to his brain. He was only 65. Now my son smokes and it kills me. I did everything I possibly could to steer them away from smoking. They used to talk about how stinky and icky it was when they were growing up. All it took was public school and the wrong crowd to undo it all. I get so angry at things sometimes. Everything seems futile. You are right in that we have our chickens though. I have brought lots of other things into my life to fall back on. Chickens are only one of them.

Hang in there girl. Cancer is difficult on both sides. Cherish every moment there is.

I hope when it's my time to go I'm riding a horse and have a heart attack.

Thats an awesome photo! Spring has Sprung. Hallelujah!

So as you already know it has not been turned into the lost and found @ the admintration office.
If some else looses an elph cannon that's turned in I guess they'll call me. She was very nice down there and said she would talk to everyone working that day as a couple weren't there to talk to.
I tried though and they have my info...

Sorry about the parents Hallerlake, don't know how to go about that as my parents live in Eastern Wa, a ways away and seem to be doing okay.
Dad had his shoulder rebuild last year and mom had her heart worked on, but nothing like that.

Just a update on my Rooster Roadkill...
The one that got scalped...
He's grown and still people friendly and I love the colors...

Back of the head is healed but scared and his comb is a little messed up

He lives in my garden area with a hen or 2 that visit when my dominate rooster (buff orp) is not looking
Love the colors in the sunshine (this was not in the sunshine photo)

Anyways I'm hoping to find a good home for him... if any one knows of one please let me know.

It's official. Mom has pancreatic cancer. Dad already has lung cancer. I expect they'll both be gone by the end of the year. Likely sooner.

I'm gladIi have chicks to look forward to.

You and they are in our thoughts as prayers,, we're sad to hear such a thing has come to pass.

On another note nice picture of some chickens running about around the flowers!
