Welcome. I just got my first Black Copper Marans eggs last weekend at the Monroe chicken show so they are just now incubating. I will have to sell some of them when they hatch if you want to wait. Otherwise there are quite a few people here that have them so you should not have any trouble suppling your addiction. No reformers here, only enablers and enablees!
Would they be straight run? I already have 3 roosters which in my particular case is 2 to many...
Any thoughts about Cuckoo Marans?
I hatched 7 out last week. They are adorable, lively and very curious but that is where my knowledge end because these are my first cuckoos. I have 4 cockerels and 3 pullets. I, too, am only looking to keep trios and quads of the different birds I am amassing so I would have a pullet and come cockerels to be sold.
The BCMs are due to hatch on the 11th of April. I have a dozen in so we'll see what I end up with. My cuckoo hatch was 90% and was my first. I think things will improve even more with experience.
