I will have to look that up lol but I know I get little red sores on my legs, like dry skin spots that crack and bleed and then I got psoraisis... on my face...piss me off... I also am in the beginning of rhumatoid arthritis. Remicade and Humira were made for RA, side effect was it put crohns and UC in remission. so now it is an IBD drug. remicade is made from rat proteins. I see my doc tomorrow, will ask him what class it is as that is what they want to put me on...sadly I can not afford the 12 to 15 grand a year for it.

ETA: most all of that that comes with crohns is auto immune related, they can be controlled with prednisone but that stuff whacks me way out bad. drops my blood pressure to dead status. I dont like it....

psoriasis?
Try soaking in a bathtub of bleach & water.

lol its on my face... and psoriasis is an immune system problem. immune system gets confused and produces excess skin cells which build up etc etc. prednisone makes it go away. steroid. I have a doc appt tomorrow, am going to ask for some cream with steroid in it... pretty sure a little on my skin wont send me into hysteria...I hope!

I would buy a locking gas cap and place a big rat trap by the tire...to catch rats.

A dig chunk of dog poo would work too.

I bought the incubator from Pips&Peeps, and need the egg basket.
I was going to put the eggs in the egg cartons first.
Don't really have that many eggs, just 14 eggs a week tops, in a 24 day cycle, thats 7 more eggs than the 1588 can hold & I can't decide which ones to not put into my bator...so I need the bigger bator,

That's my excuse & I'm a sticking to it.
I am keeping my 1588 to use as a hatch box though, then retiring my homemade bator/ hatch box. Last batch was actually pretty good. Only lost one egg, out of 7.
I think I need to go to Stevensen afterall, to pick up my bator. Don't think I want to stay the night though. crab fobia.

I will have one new Genesis 1588 to sell if my new bator works.
Anyone interested??
I just got it on friday.
I can bring it to Stevensen.

If you are only staying one day, then come for Sat. That's when most of the action happens. Oh, and come see me. Maybe some of your mad cooking skills will rub off... I'll be in the sale area.

Hand plucking isn't hard,.. key is a good scald... and I'll even share the secret to a good scald....

a squeeze or two of dishwashing detergent, a large canning pot or larger, and water at 160degrees (I use a candy thermometer to measure temp). Swish vigorously for a few swirls, remove, repeat a couple times. Goal is to wet bird down to the skin on all areas with feathers. Voila.

As far as the rest of processing, youtube videos on butchering and breaking down chickens takes you from the whole live bird to assorted parts that look similar to what you get from the store (but taste so much better). KEY: let rest at fridge temp for a couple days.

We had a HUGE Buckeye on the hill behind out house. I love the blooms.

where ?

I grew up in San Jose - last street at the base of the Santa Teresa Foothills. I saw one at someone's house here in NB as well; first one I'd seen since I left Cali. The house it was in front of was probably 100 yrs old. Sadly they cut down the tree a couple years back when they expanded and modernized the house.

Gorgeous photos. The first photos showing the background with the new Orloff...those are great photos. Okay, seeing the sussex....I want them even more. I think they are so pretty. This could be the popcorn talking. And it is getting late.

Love the dogs. My two young dogs sure feel spring coming on, they run around like crazy morons.
