I have a co-worker that is wanting some birds for her young kids to work with in 4-H and something to take to the fair every year. She's still "shopping" but didn't want the LS when I told her they have to be kept clean.

She's very novice and still learning but I suggested Orps and have her a few sites to check out....so maybe she'll be interested.

Are the orps a good starter chicken for a kid? DD still is talking about having her own birds. We are still studying.

The ones I used to have were pretty friendly.

It's not raining here---yet. It's really cloudy and about 45 degrees...light breeze. I'm going out to plant a rose bush and another row of trees.

I always forget when I am ordering trees that I will have to plant them, too! LOL I think I have about 20 more to go!

These are just sticks that I dipped in rooting hormone and they've been in a bucket since mid-March. They are rooting now though they don't need much of a hole to get started.

Oh darn.

Nope, my male is pretty mediocre. He will be sold as soon as I can get another (better) male to replacement him. Just keep me in mind when your next batch starts to hatch...I am still looking for at least one more female, if not two.

My docs have prescribed some pretty good drugs..... none of them are good enough to make it sunny!!!

My DD's are back to school this week. It is soooo quiet! And boring! Daffy is even boring! She doesn't seem to want to watch movies with me today. Darn duck is just sleeping! Really!!?? Someone needs to entertain Grandma!

The incubator is holding alot more steady than I am! I'm so shaky today. Don't know why.

Man my typing is off today, I am not as jittery as I have been all week end, I ate dinner last night & had a sald today...I am going out in the storm & plant my peas, a week late but what the heck.....so muddy though.
With this clay, I may get stuck & have to walk out of my gum boots..........
