They HAVE to offer you COBRA insurance, it's the law. And they HAVE to make it retro-active to when they dropped you. What a bunch of applesauce!!!

Even if the COBRA is $500 a month (don't know how much it IS, but I know it's spendy) it's still cheaper than all the medical bills you'll be seeing....

When I was laid off last year they offered me Cobra, it was going to cost me $1197 a month. Hard to do when your unemployed. My wife found a program called Health Wave that covered kids and pregnant women, the coverage on the pregnant women ends 2 months after birth.

They should of given you notice sooner.

chicken show? I might be able to do that. How do you find out where all these shows are? I cannot make it to stevenson as I have clients coming in that want me to show them property. I guess I should be thankful, though. .

LOL The wormies are in full rut here!!
Seriously, go out at night with a flashlight & look at your compost & garden soil...I was on a slug hunt, but was blown away by the very soil MOVING...and red worms & nightcrawlers EVERYWHERE, and looked down and they were all around my feet, everywhere and most mating.
Yup, it is wormie weather for sure!!

I've got one hammering on my house at all hours. We go scare him away, and as soon as we step back in the house he starts up again! Sometimes he goes to the metal pipe that comes out of the Chimney and the noise echoes through the whole house. The septic tanks are on the ground nearby, and the first time he did this, DH was down there lifting lids trying to find out what was wrong with the septic system for it to make such a racket!
