Back then, 29 was considered old for a first time mother.

I'm 29 and sure don't feel like I'm an 'advanced maternal age' patient...

I'm 30 and with my age--my risks of DS went from 1 in 13,000 (genetically) to 1 in 690 for my age. That number drops each year little by little until you hit the magic 35 year old mark and then it's like 1 in 100 or something....

My doctor called me back today. She said she will not refer me for amino. She said the risks of the amino procedure were way higher than the chances of me having a DS baby--especially with my odds and everything else being "normal" on the ultrasound. She said the two EIF's will probably resolve themselves by my next appointment and to try to relax. Yeah right!

On another note--the baby has been doing cartwheels in my uterus all day and now is bouncing off my cervix.

I am not sure if you saw my post that I had an amniosyntesis.........I did, as my first baby was severely challenged.
The second child was perfect, the amnio showed every proof, and it was scarey, but calmed my mind.
It was 1080, and things have greatly improved since then, so do contact a good doc, and if necessary, go to Seattle or Spokane.
And it will be a comfort for you.

P.S. the third was perfect too !!!
The first we have found, was challenged due to chemicals I used in the work place.

It is sunny and nice here one minute (so hot I stripped to shorts & tank top) and the next was a T-head with MARBLE sized hail that beat the applesauce out of all my plants.......I have stapled plastic over everything, supposed to be in the 20s tonight

I am teaching a geography/cooking class at my son's school friday afternoon, so if I go after 3:30pm, I'll be sitting in traffic all the way.

RFF: I was 33 when I had my first baby. Never knew the odds. Wouldn't have made a difference & my doc knew that. Maybe that is why she never once mentioned anything. Why? Cross that bridge when you get there.

RFF: I heard today that there was a fire up in your area...someone slash burning in 30 mph winds....got away from them....anything near you? HOpe all is okay.

Starting to rain likely bloody heck.
