alright i am getting serious about this.

besides real aracuanas. does anyone know where i can find true dewlap toulouse geese eggs for may? i am sure my parents won't notice a few large eggs mixed in with the chicken ones.

who was it that had that beautiful one at the monroe show? he is the standard i have been looking for online but everyone has the smooth necked ones... or they do not have them as hatching eggs.

I don't think I'm going either, as much as I want too. Too much to do outside after being gone for 3 weeks.

Sheeesh, same here.
But it is supposed to rain, so why not drive down for the day ?
I canceled the hotel rez for 2 days.......and may just do the day thing.
Better than sitting here looking out at the hail storms & rain.

If you do the day thing...what happens to the loads of prizes you'll win from the raffle?
I think I'm going to do the day thing cause I need to pick up my new toy. But I'm also afraid I'll come home with geese.

Maybe we should arrange for a caravan / car pool with all the folks along I-5 that want to go and we can pick up as we head south. Anybody else want to go for the day???

Good luck on the internship! I always have a speech prepared to leave a message when it's important. Of course I always flub it up anyway haahah.

he emailed me back letting me know he recieved my information on my (very short) resume.
he even remembered i met him last spring this time when i applied then. i ended up having summer classes and that conflicted with any summer jobs......
so hopefully its a good thing he remembers me and remembers how inquisitive i was about his research and agriculture in general.
organic is not my focus but it has some good methods to be employed.

this is research into organic weed management... currently there are no organic approved herbacides.... so there is a great interest in alternative controls... apparently tree fruit has a very low root density ... at best 1 root per square inch... so competing against many weeds easily stresses the plant.

so tomorrow i will have mom harass GQF because it appears they have lost her order....

i want to get it so i can run a test batch, get better eggs and use my own and then sneak in dewlap toulouse eggs (if i ever find any...)

It is galled GEESE. They are suppose to be the best weeders around for organic orchards. Fertilize for free too.

There are some on my blog.. they will be blk/wht mottles, or .. i dunno what you would call it, sort of partridge with white.. almost a dilute mille fleur coloring.. they are very pretty I think.. The Mottles right now tend to develop into the tri colors that you like though.

lol!

maybe someone can be a bird spotter at the stevenson show for me? keep an eye out for birds i want or hatching eggs of the birds i want. be my birdy broker. course it works better if someone is driving back over snoqualmie then blewett pass... they could throw the birds into my chicken coop by the side of the road..... my parents seriously wont notice the increase. we are currently getting 19 eggs in the morning and another 20 in the nightime collection... so i am now hitting over 30-35 eggs per day. not bad. i hope it keeps up. that new nesting box better keep them more interested in laying in the coop instead of the orchard...
