Awww man that could be the world's best invention yet!
I could make a killing selling them to chicken loving folks, and sell them my very special duck eggs too.

Just $5 ea.
Heck if I put in guppies, which I have hundreds of, I could change them into angel fish!

Don't forget the pack of seat covers and your own stash of TP. Public toilets can get gnarly.

You'll be able to skip the yucky ones on your way back.

It is going to be sooooo boring and quiet on here this weekend!

Luckily for me the twins will be taking over the TV in the livingroom with "Harry Potter" coming out on DVD tomorrow!

With this ugly weather I might just hibernate in my room!

OH we got Daffy's diaper harness in the mail today!!!
wee.gif
So when DD gets home she will open the box and get pics! I have been really good about not touching it till she gets home! Though it is making me crazy! I want to open it so bad!

Well now that Daffy will have her diaper she can have free run of the house!!

CL- this is STILL all your fault!!!! And Chickieman too!!!

What? Just keeping 1??? Are you going to make Peking Duck out of the rest?

BTW its going to be hard to figure which ones are girls. Ou might end up keeping them till they curly feather out and then you'll end up keeping all of them.

20 house ducks.

Ok I'm freezing and hurting......

Time to make more hot tea and start a fire!
The girls are cheering at a track meet today and are going to be soaked to the bone and frozen! Gotta get the house temperature above the current 63*!!

No silly! I'm keeping 3 from this hatch! I'm going to make myself the local vent sexer!

Or at least give it a shot! Metzer's video says it is best to do at 1-2 days old. This will be the first time that I will have my hands on ducklings young enough!

I was going to gripe about the rain and wasting my seven hours of hired help on getting the rugs clean and the refrigerator cleaned out when I have chicken coop to build, but we did get the small packing case and six cinderblocks up to where I'm building the coop and now I can get to the 2X4s and 1X2s that the packing case was lying on.

Now if I could just figure out how I can keep the cinderblocks from sinking into the ground without buying any more materials. I want to get a 6' kennel door so I don't have to build and frame a tight door: I can do it. I don't want to do it. I may just give myself one as a birthday gift if I have to, but that chews up my budget. I'm contemplating the idea of pads of weed barrior laminated with Gorilla glue, both of which I always have on hand. Possibly with a bed of pea gravel atop so the blocks can drain better. There's a lot to be said for Nisqually Silty Sandy Loam slopes 5-15% but the stuff eats anything heavy that's laid on top of it.

I also found, while rummaging around in bits of the lumber back-log, forty feet of multicoat painted 8" wide fiberboard siding, which will spiff up the coop part of the project no end. Now all I have to find is somebody to run the circular saw.

If it ever stops raining.

I need to go give the chooks their dinner and make sure they've got water before I call the bull guy and see when we can get there tomorrow.

The next best day of my life (the best being the one when my daughter stopped needing diapers at 18 months, two weeks after her brother was finally out of diapers at almost 3 1/2) was the first day of school after my younger child graduated, when I heard the school bus roll by and just turned over and went back to sleep.

That day can't come soon enough! (well, I don't want to get that much older too fast as I was already considered to be of "advanced maternal age" when I had my kids! What ugly term do they write on the charts of mid-50's women?)
