Hey I am very happy you all kept the thread going last night. I actually went to bed early for me. It's happened 2 nights in a row. I will confess that I did start reading a book after I went to bed, and it was so good that I read the whole thing. So I really didn't go to sleep until about 6 this morning.

All the girl hummingbirds are named Fred at my house. That way I don't have to do anything but know that I am talking about a girl hummingbird. I usually can't tell the difference between individual birds any way. All the boys are named Larry, accept for one male that has a copper breast, I call him Mort.
So with names like Trudy and Harold, I will have to suggest names like Clara, Elsie,Ester,Prudence,Earline,Helen, Mildred,Flora, or Florence,Gladys,Thelma,Edith,Mabel,Opal,Harriet,or Bertha. I am sure I could come up with a lot more names, but this is a good start.
haha~that's how I name my chickens too...
one of my frizzle cochin's name = Cecelia. called sis for short. chickens are so silly, they need serious names to balance them.
It is absolutely freaking blowing a hurricane here with hail & lightening and wind blowing stuff all over the place & COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It IS November after all!
I KNEW it!
This is the year we will remember that someone STOLE SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FiL's decided come hell or snow or high water, he is driving up here tomorrow.
Despite the nasty weather, he is determined.
We are going to put him up in a Motel in town, I guess....hope there is no drinking I will have to drive him to his Motel & pour him into the bed, then go get him at 5 before the Tavern opens across the street
FiL owned several bars in his lifetime, and loves to play cribbage & liars dice and craps in the morning like he did for sooooooo many years as he tended his bars.
I KNOW he will be over there first thing in the morning with the other cronies.
Oh well, keeps him outta trouble I guess, it is a walk across the street~~~
