Born in Wisconsin, but we moved to Fl, 50 miles from Orlando!, when I was 6, so hitting the grinder in June, July and August was hot but bearable. It was leaving Fl in summer to go to GLAKES, Ill in SEP that got me, lol!

That was '74, and there were NO dress uniform slacks for women. One frosty morning we were in formation and all us women were obviously uncomfortable. The Class Comm asked me what the problem was and I told him he "couldn't possibly understand until he stood at parade rest in heels and a skirt, um, SIR!"

Took him a second to figure it out, he blushed and put us at attention!

I'd have to agree with you there for my household as well. DH will do one project for me per weekend - like putting up poop boards, something that took all of 30 minutes and he did only one per day, left all the tools out for me to put away, I had to come running when he neede hlp holding the thing, then he goes in and spends the rest of the day playing video games and making dirty dishes while I worked in the yard, then told me late in the afternoon that I needed to stop playing with the chickens and come in and do some laundry, get dinner made, and go grocery shopping! (I read him the riot act so he went shopping and picked up taco time)

Good for you. I read a very similar riot act to my DH just the other day. What is it in the air or something? LOL.

OMG! that's funny! yea, so you know what I'm talking about when I say we froze in the am and cooked in the pm!! It was ridiculous, by the time they got around to changing the UOD, it wasn't necessary!! go figure! Well, had I had more patience and did a few things different I would have retired, but, at that point I was out of active duty and in the reserves, that was a whole different ball game! I had about 6 yrs of good service left to retire ! I got out as a BMC so I'm not complaining, but, I did work very hard and have the back and hip problems to prove it, so I should have just stuck it out! Anyway, good times!

And yea, they never put you that close to home, I live up here in Grandview, that's why they sent me clear to Orlando!! Crap if they had sent me to GL, all but my immediate family lives in MI!!! (we move to wa when I was 12)! LOL!

Rule #1, It's never the horses fault. Even if it has issues from mishandling, bad temperament and/ or done it many times before. If you know this about a horse and you are trying to train and work through things with it, it's the riders choice to get on the horse. As redreiner said, with horses it's the fight of flight response and most of the time it's flight. It's a survival instinct. You have to learn with each horse where their limits are. I have been thrown many times and the first thing you want to do is blame the stupid horse but when the dust settles you have to ask yourself, what did I do wrong and go from there. If you're not seeing too many stars you can get back on, (which is what you should do, even for a few minutes) or not. It's your choice. Some are really difficult and have too much baggage or just a plain old mean temperament and may never be good for anything but dog food, but it's never the horses fault.

If it's true about Osama, yippee but I don't trust any Government. I probably won't ever totally believe it. How will we, the American people, ever know for sure? Seems we are always getting the wool pulled over our eyes. Government, Politics, just a bunch of sneaky liars. Could even just be a ploy to get votes. Call me cynical but I don't trust a single one of them.

Well, I left the incubator babies outside last night (with heat lamp) as it was finally a warmer night. They all fared well. I let the incubator babies out of their little pen and loose with the hatched babies. Hannah is the momma. She is okay with the incubator babies. But, her babies are 4 weeks old. She still mothers them and lets them hide in her feathers. 3 of Hannah's babies are feed store Sexlinks that I picked up and tucked under her and are huge. I am not sure what cross they are but they are a white/yellow with red feathers. And they are going to be big. I have tried to give Hannah some "away from the kids" time, but she is having none of it. I am amazed that she is mothering them for so long. The incubator babies are 3 weeks old. So I have 13 babies (4 and 3 weeks old) out running amuck in the Juvenile yard...chasing tweety birds, chest thumping one another...flying from one end of the pen to the other....it is hilarious to watch. I could do it all day.

Try to calm down, all will be good. Let us know how it goes. God Bless. Please try to relax and don't make yourself sick. At least, finally, you have a doctor who will listen to you and is being responsive and acting more appropriately. Best of luck.

Thank you! Yeah, I emailed DH this morning and told him he's driving the 3 hours there (and probably back). My stomach is in knots. I don't think I've ever been so nervous in my life.

I am hoping everything is fine (of course!) and I'm hoping that we get some good 3D pics to bring home....
