Thanks! I mean....not that it's any of this person's business what's going on in my life...but since I felt backed into a corner...I had to react. The "hon" thing really is degrading, too. I HATE that....not to mention the comment about me needing the money? what?

LOL

Her comments were very condescending and unnecessary. All she had to do was ask you if there was a problem.

On a happier note...I got your eggs today and am soooo excited! So

on her and her little tantrum! Maybe she just had a rank day?

For you, that day was the culmination of months of stress!
Even as excited as I am about the eggs, I know that people and what they are going through are more important than anything that can be bought!!! Don't do her the dignity of letting it get under your skin!!!

So, you did keep in contact with her and let her know when they were going out. You kept the lines of communication open. So you did everything that you should have done...well, short of hand delivering the still warm (from the chicken's back side) eggs to her bony fingers. But, then I am sure she/he would still have been disappointed in something. Everyone is right, there is no way you could have ever made this person happy. And now she/he is picking on you...almost sounds like bullying, doesn't it. Very condescending tones.

But you were able to vent...and that is what your BYC buddies are for.

I was the most HORRIBLE "hostess" in the world...even if it were for just a few minutes. I didn't even offer to let them use my restroom....

what was I thinking. I tried to show pette63 my chickens real quick and of course the dogs were mauling her....Peaches the antique cat came to say HI and get a lovin. We loaded the fence, chatted for a few and I said....I realy got to go get some lunch and run. Did I offer them a glass of water? NO! bathroom? NO! I felt so bad after they left. Worst, worst hostess ever.

You are familiar with Waterville and Odessa......

Yes..it would be great if there more shows and things happening closer to me. I don't think i will be able to make this show since it is so far away.

I am familiar with Eastern Washington, yes: Mom was born in Prosser; I had a great-aunt who ran a motel in Omak for about fifty years. My Mom's Uncle Dick lived in Waterville, her Aunt Nel lived in Washtucna, the great-aunt I was named for lived in Farmington, which for years you could only get to by driving into and out of Idaho, and I had a cousin who ran the Cenex in Odessa before he died. I've got an old boyfriend who went to school in Bridgeport, and one of my closest friends is from Entiat. My Auntie Mag lived on a apple orchard in Tieton and worked at the grocery store there, cooking breakfast at their cafe counter. Also I went to WSU after I got a BA from Evergreen in 1974 (BA Anth, 1978)- not counting going to 4-H Conference there every June from 1966-1971. I actually like Eastern Washington, to the extent that my husband and I once drove up the gravel road in Moses Coulee just to see what it looked like. There were pink mariposa lilies and a corral with an old recliner next to the headgate, it was wonderful.

On the other hand, my Mom's parents moved to Yelm in 1919 (Mom was born at her grandparent's house, because my grandmother and her sisters were all gathered there to can peaches), and my Dad's great-grandparents came to Union Mills in the 1890s, so this is where I am.

I wish there were poultry shows in those two towns because I'd like an excuse to visit them again! I can go to Elma any old time.

wonderful, beautiful story/family tree telling. Who was the great-aunt who ran the motel? which motel? Bridgeport is one of the top 3 finalists of high schools to have President Obama speak at for their graduation ceremony. Did any of you know that? I won't talk the poliltics as everyone's thoughts are different and I don't want to get into it or start something...but I think that this is kinda cool for tiny Bridgeport. Although, I do feel Bridgeport has become a bit of a hub for the drug trafficing that happens in our area (just my personal opinion for what it is worth). Bridgeport HS will find out on Monday (I believe) if they got it or not.

Naah I would say don't worry about it. See I figure we are all big people and if we need to use the weewee woom we will ask. But I know what ya mean. So if ya come to our house ya better speak up if ya need to use the out house. And I am terrible at introductions and remembering names.
