Good Morning everyone!!!!!!!!!!
We have sun peeking through, and the greenhouse has stayed at 67 dgrees overnight, not bad.
I put a 5 gallon Alhambra jug & 3 milk jugs in for ballast, so far.
need to do more.
We also got the rubber weather stripping around the doors, a big heat loss was there.
So far, heating the soil with the heat tape works at expelling heat at night, as did the sun warming the soil in the boxes yesterday.
But do not know if it will work with the upcoming week of clouds & rain we are supposed to have

I gotta get my rear in gear as Ogress is coming, and another buyer who also wants poop, and a third guy coming for wine bottle ducklings

Good thing I planted 30 feet of peas!!!!!!!!!

So, you're a pro welder, then (I thought so probably)? Did you work on the Steam Plant, ever? My Uncle Fred did some of the work on the original boiler system.

Yes I am tripple certified welder. And can actually say my welds are bomb proof. No I didn't work on the steam plant.

Thought you probably weren't old enough; that was a long time ago. Uncle Fred would have turned 93 this year, a year younger than my dad. Welding apparently skips a generation as my cousin's son (other side of the family, though) is one of the owners at Zeigler's. I think all of it is magic, myself.

Got to get going. So much to do. So little energy. I was thinking last night how nice it would be to be able to turn the tangle of rebar in the yard into the frame for a one-chicken quarantine tractor, instead of a giant calthrop..

Today is a milestone for Diane and I. See it was 19 years ago today that we commited to each other for the rest of our lives. So now I better see what kind of nice dinner I can make for her tonight. In the mean time I have to get over to Michelles and fix some gates that came off. Her cousin called me this am to help put them back on but they need more than just put back they need adjusted or they will be right back off.
And I think Ogress is doing a relay for me from CL. So need to make sure we are ready to jump amd run to meet her at the freeway.

You know....I might have to nominate you as the nicest most considerate husband I know, beside mine that is. But you may top him in a lot of areas. Your wife is a lucky woman to have you. Happy Anniversary!

It's a pretty small parade, considering all 1200 residents

, but it's a lot of fun. Right behind the gnarly antique John Deere's and IH's, there'll be several Cub Cadet or Husqie lawn tractors with a couple kids throwing out candy and having a blast! As near as I can figure, if you show up on a horse, a mower or scoot, you're in!

We tend to have a lot of Canadians starting with the thaw no matter what the occasion: Not their fault, but I start to mostly boycott the local grocery stores this time of year when they double and triple their prices because of all the campers coming thru.

I just think $1.60 for a pound of white potatoes a little ludicrous.

I know your gas prices are about the same, but $4.10 a GALLON?!
But it's almost twice that in Canada, so this route can get away with it...

Okay. Enough o' dat! I LOVE living here, fishbowl that it is, and I could prolly have a pretty good market for peeps, but I'm really going to fight the hatching and stuff this year. I'm thinking NEXT year, I'll be ready!
