If it is lower, I'd waite one more day!
I had that happen before & on day 24 all the eggs hatched.
I now use 3 or more thermometers per incubator, 2 digital and 2 mercury types.
All read differently!

OK SO whoo knows where CGG lives ??? I can see the neeed to make a late night trip there. She has way too many plants and is way too far ahead of the rest of us in the garden dept. I wonder if my get away driver will be available ?

Wrong.
The horse manure is the worst for a garden.
Unfortunately, unless composted & turned often, it contains ALOT od seeds that go undigested.
And said seeds sprout in your garden.
Cow manure same thing, you must compost it to death.
Rabbit manure is the best, having the best vitamins, minerals & Nitrogen, and no seeds.
And you can till it directly into the soil, and thus use it immediately, nice to handle, too, easy to scatter.
(Remember all winter I saved Rabbit smart pills for Illia?)
It is so highly sought after in California by pot growers that many have rabbits just for the poop.
The next best to rabbits is chicken manure.
With that you do have to compost to 'burn off' the bad bacterias before you use it (compost & turn it) but it never contains seeds.
Birds' gizzards digest seeds completely.
There is alot of web sites that have the different types of manure listed, and the microorganism & nutrients each contains, I will see if I can find it again.

Expectant Father syndrom........LOL!!!

Well I have decided to be a dead beat dad. Since there were only 4 eggs 1 is clear and 1 doesn't look good. I am going to let broody keep any hatches if she wants them.

Thanks for responding. I appreciate the input.
We gave up on this batch last night. Most of the eggs were still runny and undeveloped. Sigh.
The new thermometers should come on Friday. Both are digital. One checks the humidity, also. I will find a couple different mercury type ones, also. Sounds like a good idea. Even though they all will most likely be different, I would think the average of them all might be pretty close.
We'll just try again.

We have 5 rabbits so we have poo just for our garden. When I clean out coops I mix it in with the rabbit poo.
