OH MY GOD!! some one else who loves that movie!! I love JW I don't care what movie he's in!! I love that one especially and watch it every year around St paddy's day!! I know what about "5 miles?" " It's just a wee stretch O the leg" !!! And yes I bet it was cooked well, they had lots to deal with and probably know what to do with it!!! LOL

every now and then I catch myself hmm the first part of the movie when he's getting on the train!! Bumpm bumpm bumpm....tadadada....bumpm bumpm bmumpm..... lol

My dd loves it too, she's still in WY and she told me when she moves back that's the first thing we are going to do is watch The Quiet Man and Singing in the Rain together!!

Has anyone ever taken their wee chicks 1-2 weeks outside in a enclosed cage, just to get a feel for what's out there, let them pick at the grass? I know it sounds silly, but, if it is warm enough, and only for a short period of time of course.

I was still in HS and we had a HS rock band that wrote a song called "Where were you when the mt blew" It actually made it on local radio a few times!! It was funny cause the band got ticked off cause the local country station was the only one who played it, their favorite rock station wouldn't cause it sounded country!! lol!!

Then I slit 2 opening at the tops on each end and the heat inside is incredible...works everytime.
The heat generated from the composting poop keeps the plants so happy & the warmth & humidity coming out of the 2 slits totally steams up my glasses when I peek in the slit...wonderful way to get your starts off nice & warm.
In addition to the warmth, the mico organisms give off alot of gases like nitrogen, that the plants breathe in..
I think I am almost caught up.....

Wrong.
The horse manure is the worst for a garden.
Unfortunately, unless composted & turned often, it contains ALOT od seeds that go undigested.
And said seeds sprout in your garden.
Cow manure same thing, you must compost it to death.
Rabbit manure is the best, having the best vitamins, minerals & Nitrogen, and no seeds.
And you can till it directly into the soil, and thus use it immediately, nice to handle, too, easy to scatter.
(Remember all winter I saved Rabbit smart pills for Illia?)
It is so highly sought after in California by pot growers that many have rabbits just for the poop.
The next best to rabbits is chicken manure.
With that you do have to compost to 'burn off' the bad bacterias before you use it (compost & turn it) but it never contains seeds.
Birds' gizzards digest seeds completely.
There is alot of web sites that have the different types of manure listed, and the microorganism & nutrients each contains, I will see if I can find it again.

I used some of my first chicken bedding as mulch yesterday. It was close to a year old, and had spent the last 6 weeks or so in a tumbler composter. I figured it was good because the ammonia smell was gone, and it smelled pleasant. I was doing some rearranging in the ornamental garden out front. Up to now, I've been a firm believer in arborist's chips. Here's hoping that chicken manure/ wood shavings is even better.

I compost the poops from poop trays, which is covered in sand (like a cat box happens to contain cat litter) so the compost has nice sand in it..and I use the bedding from the coop floors, which is about 80% shavings & 20% poops.
Then we also add any egg shells, crushed up, coffee grounds and garden/salad trimmings.
And smart pills donated by the rabbits.
Then it gets hay fork turned several times a week.
There is so many wormies it is incredible!
Young ones, red wrigglers and giant night crawlers.
