Ya, I sex them all the time.
The super black ones are the roos and the rest aren't.
Mossyrock is an hour and a half from my house. I just went to Grand mound to Great Wolf lodge on the 30th.

Are you interested? I will deliver!
Mike

Seriously? I'm definitely interested!

I only need a couple girls, though... would it be worth it? I could meet you in Centralia or something, though, if that'll make it easier. I have a 1 wk old chick with no company right now. Do you have any a similar age? Oh, I'm excited now

I've been looking everywhere for barnevelders!

...or are you trying to find an excuse to go back to Great Wolf?
tongue.png
I still haven't been there myself besides to drop off my son at a birthday party. Yeah, he got to go and I didn't! LOL It is really nice in there, though. Someday when we have enough money, maybe we'll go... *sigh*

ETA: it may be faster and easier to meet in Morton, actually, if you took hwy 7 from Tacoma... depending on the weather, anyway. Just an idea
smile.png

Maybe for that small amount I could meet you in Tacoma?
I am going to the Moster Jam show@ the Tacoma Dome the weekend of the 15th.
Let me know if your interested and I can bring them down then?

Isn't Centralia on the south side of Grand Mound?
The Great Wolf is exit 88.

LaSombra Not trying to cut eagle out but since he is so far away and you only want a couple birds. There is a guy in Napavine that has quite the operation. He has a wide variety of chickens. I wanted to buy a couple hens from him but he said I didn't have enough room for what I already have. I have 15 full size and 3 bantam. My coop is 12'x12' with a covered 6'x12' run which goes out to the 16'x16' out door run. Now from what I have seen that is plenty and I have had others say the same. But he didn't think so even though some of his were more crowded or had less coop.

Which is totally understandable, a 21 mi drive compared to 75mi. Just for a couple of chicks.
Depending on what you want, no hard feelings, trust me.
Mossyrock from my house, (I looked on Google Earth) is 155 mi.
I think I was thinking that you lived in Littlerock? Sorry.
If you want to get your little on a companion, best to do it close and right away.
Appose to waiting to get Barnies, I will have them for along time!

hm. I just noticed in you signature thing that you also breed copper black marans... Do you have some chicks like that now? I'd buy a few of those, too, if you had them. It would be a bigger order then

I've been watching ebay for hatching eggs but am not sure I want to put my broody through another clutch. She's on her 2nd in a row now and I don't want her to get sick. Can BCM be sexed also? not that I'd mind having a BCM roo, but... anyway, I could just wait a few weeks or till next month or something and then we could figure something out for barnevelders and marans both

Yes, I do have BCM chicks.
How many do you think you want of those?
There $25 ea.
I have more than eight.
If you want enough of them and with some Banrevelders I could star on down that way today.

I would probably want 2 of those also, but I can't do it today. I just paid my husband's car payment so we'll have to wait until next payday. $70 is a big chunk right now... Do you get pretty dark eggs from the marans?

Yes, That's the thing about the BCM is their dark egg color.
I could take a picture of a couple of shells that have hatched and show you if you'd like
Oh, one more thing is that I'm not going to hold the BCM either. Sorry, but the longer I have them the longer I have to feed them.
PM me about when you think you'll be able to get them and I let you know what's aval.
Mike

sounds good to me. I wouldn't think you'd hold any, just that I'll need to wait on them. Maybe the next hatch if I have to. Can they be sexed?

sounds like a deal

I'll let you know when I can do it and hopefully, you'll have the chicks. If not, I'll just wait until you do

I'm not in a hurry (besides being anxious anyway)
