I'll let you know when I can do it and hopefully, you'll have the chicks. If not, I'll just wait until you do

I'm not in a hurry (besides being anxious anyway)

Not a problem.
I know I will have the Barnies until gamebird season.
The BCM are alot harder to hang onto and I don't have but a couple hens.
I think I'm going to make a post on CL in Wenatchee to try and offload some of the Barnies.
Seems to me that not alot of people want them on this side of the mountain.
My dad lives in St Andrews Grange just outside of Couly City and they've never heard of them.

well, most of the hatcheries don't seem to have them and I couldn't find the hatching eggs on ebay either. They're pretty birds. I don't know why there aren't more of them.

Did anyone else read this made me sad:

Rare trumpeter swan killed near Colville

By The Associated Press

COLVILLE — Birdwatchers in northeastern Washington are offering a reward to find whoever killed a rare trumpeter swan on the Colville River west of Colville.

At least $1,600 has been collected by birding groups for information leading to the arrest of whoever shot the swan on Dec. 28. The bird later had to be euthanized by a state Fish and Wildlife Department officer.

Trumpeter swans are a protected species in Washington. Birdwatchers tell The Spokesman-Review that they fear the dead bird is a swan nicknamed Solo, which for decades has been seen at the nearby Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge. Last spring, Solo and his mate hatched the first brood of cygnets at the refuge in more than 20 years.

Hey do you have any chickens that lay WHITE eggs ???? I would probably want only two

QUESTION

If John Smith has a son and he names him John Smith, and the son has a son and names Him John Smith. The first J.S. would be senior or John Smith I and the 2nd one would be J.S. II and the 3rd would be J.S. III RIGHT ????
Does that work the same way for Females? I, II, III .

Are you originally from that area Mike? My dad grew up there. (Grand Coulee, Coulee City area)

No, I am from Everett. Right by the river road to Snohomish.
But when my dad sold his place he moved to be closer to his sister.About 4 yrs ago. My aunt. She lives right in town.
They have lived there for more than 30yrs if not 40.
I'm sure they know each other!

So it looks like I'm not the only one who has seen a goose mount a duck. Now for the obvious question... Has anyone ever tried to hatch such eggs?

God Bless,

Yes Mike that is a really good question. And this one.... What kinds of chickens do you have? Do you do any green or blue egg layers at all? I thought I saw one in one of your pictures. Could have been something else, but looked like it had muffs and a beard, maybe.
