That is the same design I will be using for my shed! except mine will be on skids not stilts...
and mine will be 8' wide 24' long and 8' high in back and 10'high in front.
8x16 will be enclosed storage shed and 8x8 will be 1/4" hardwire screen with clear covers of some sort (have not decided if i could use old windows or have to use clear plastic panels).
The clear area will be my new "green" room where I can start my plants and keep my quails.
now i just have to finish the retaining wall..... where the shed will be built.... concrete mixer is on its way got a amazing deal and will be renting time to a few neighbors who need a mixer as well.... between the 4 of us it should end up costing me about $40, neighbors get a super deal less then rental shop cost
We had a few hours of sunshine yesterday (enough for t-shirt weather & a little pinkish color to my arms) and I was able to get about 85% of my gardens planted--but now--I am thinking my seeds are probably all washed away.
I planted my corn, lettuce, spinach, peas, beans and carrots. I have five more plants to put (eggplant, cucumber, squash, zucchini and cantaloupe) in the ground but I'm afraid they'll drown.
It's 50 degrees here and pouring BUCKETS. We are currently having thunder & lightning as I type.
Poor Cash is having a panic attack and is shaking in the bathroom.
He HATES thunder. Hank seems oblivious to it. I just hope we don't lose power. I have 6 goose eggs due Thursday, 18 black Muscovies due Friday, bantam Favs hatching now and 84 eggs in the incubator.
My new little dun laced Wyandotte bantam came on Thursday! OMG--she's just the CUTEST & friendliest little chicken! Not to mention gorgeous! I am on the hunt for a bantam SL Wyandotte roo for her. She is quickly becoming a favorite.

You are lucky you have not been here all ""winter"" with this non stop rain.........I covered all my plants/seeds with row covers otherwise the onions, garlic & seed would just rot.
I used 6 foot 2x4 feild fencing, cut is pieces about 2-3 foot wide, bend in a curve & push down into the dirt.
Then cover with appropriate width plastic & soil staple or shovel dirt to hold it down.
The bad part is watering as it will get dry in there..it is 6 of 1 or a half doz of the other.
Some of my stuff had to be uncovered as it was so tall....

I figured the sun would be out by now.
The sun is trying to come out now...but it's still sprinkling rain...and now the wind is picking up.
