I wouldn't count on it ... when we were having this place built, he kept talking about how he needed a good router and table, so for Christmas, I bought him a porter-cable router with a nice table and an assortment of bits. 9 years later and none of it has ever been used! He'll use a skillsaw and a drill, that's about it! Even then, when he uses something, I gotta go clean after him or he will leave stuff out in the rain for weeks! If I'm getting any tools, they will be for me

I had a great little re-chargeable hedge trimmer with 2 attachable tools (mini chain saw and something that looks like fingers that cross back and forth over each other), but the battery no longer holds a charge, and the blades have dulled. I need to replace it. If I can find one tool that I can use fortrimming bushes and cutting random stuff, that would be good.

What is the difference between a reciprocating saw and a sawzall?

Yeah, that is why we have so many batteries.
having bought so many products, we now have about 5 chargers and 10 batteries..really helpful when we use tools in the 'feild' like driving to South Bend & cutting one of those 20 foot boxes in half in a parking lot, or pruning trees, or any job far from power outlet.

Sawzall is a brand name, for a reciprocating saw made by Skill, I think..but alot of companies make reciprocating saws.

OK, back to work & I will be back later..forms are coming off the foundation so it can further cure..awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to take 4" of stinky straw/poop/mud muck out of a 20 X 30 foot run today, and hopefully get gravel in there..what a stinky squishy mess with all this rain, and I put straw down, now it is all fermenting & smells like cow poop, like a dairy....

I just wormed my hens with that 2 weeks ago - I did not use Wazine first as none of my hens was over 9 mo with the exception of the ones from zgoat and RFF, and I figured they have been wormed in the past. I think I used .5 cc per bird, I'd have to look it up. It is whatever someone posted here. I used a syringe to drop it on the skin on the back of the neck. I had no problems with the stuff dissolving or gumming up the syrings (I suspect the active ingredients have been brought to solution in DMSO). No adverse reactions in anyone, but I also saw no wormies in their poop, so I don't know how well it worked. Since there is no withdrawl time, I continued selling the eggs to my neighbors with the chicken-eating dog (but I first stock-piled a supply for us

Well, that's mostly what Harbor Freight carries.

I love HF for disposable gloves, bungie cords, tarps, clamps, various doohickies like carabiners, casters, and things like pilot hole bits that get broken anyway or hole saws which are never any good no matter how much you pay for them. They also have a better price on hose menders, hose end cut-offs, and other hose related doohickies than anywhere else.

I'd be very wary of using a power tool from there, but I tend to push power tools to their limit, and a sawsall is not something I'd want breaking on me.

HF is also great for those tiny diamond cutoff wheels for your mini cutoff tool ... they are going to wear out or break no matter what quality you buy to begin with

amazing how many times you have to cut off something when the tool that is supposed to do the job, doesn't

nail -- rivet -- hose -- whatever

HF also good to get those Chinese cut-everything scissor/shears ... whack what you want, never worry about messing up your GOOD fabric or paper scissors

somewhere around here are a couple of cheapie trellis arches that we got at HF a few years back and never used; I want those for the chicken run

also I have a patio umbrella from HF -- from the parking lot sale, think I paid $4 -- which I want to put underneath to "tent up" the tarp over the chicken run, so it drains properly -- until I can get enough help to put an arch of fence wire over the top of the run

my idea of using the 1-1/4 PVC pipes to make a trellis top, didn't work that well, the fence wire sagged under wind/rain load

Robin, I have NOT used Eprinex. I have used Ivermectin Pour On for Cattle, which is a different drug all together. I'm sure there must be dosage directions somewhere here on BYC. I think Speckled Hen has posted them several times if I remember correctly, so you can do a search on here for that.

I would LIKE to use Eprinex, but not until I've finished up what I have on hand.

I round up snails and slugs when I'm in the yard... (old used paper drink cup from coffee or soda)
then dump all into the chicken pen...
they love eating them...

I crushed the snail shells at first but after that I have not seen a slug or snail in my back yard since... I'll even tip over or move stuff so the girls can get the bugs under.

slugs and M-80s. You were a nice kid. LOL.
