Try putting your thumb in the hollow behind your ear and pressing gently while swallowing hard. There's also the old remedy where you make a hot pad with wet hops in a cotton towel and lie with your ear on it until it cools. Saline nasal spray works sometimes, too. I've heard good things about Netti Pots, but ick. Of course these are remedies I use because pseudofed makes my BP skyrocket: if I could use that, I would, because I hate feeling as if I'm walking around with my head in a tin can.

Tinnitis sucks. Mine comes and goes with allergies, so it is here now. I do the hold the nose and blow thing when I dive even though they say not to, but when I was diving in Palau, I got a reverse ear block, and I couldn't go up! It was the most painful thing I have ever experienced! We were diving along the ship channel near the port of Koror, so the water wasn't all that deep and I just wanted to sit on the bottom, and hope it would go away, but it only got worse. eventually I had to go up and it was so painful I did not care about sharks in the way or that there was a big ship headed my way. Eventually, one of the other divers from our boat grabbed me, inflated my vest and forced me up. It hurt so bad I was just screaming until they got me to the ER where they stuck something in to help drain the water from behind my bulging ear drums. They said no diving for 3 weeks but it was the third day of my honeymoon and we had 3 weeks in Palau and Yap. I dove anyways as the damage was already done. It was months before my hearing was normal again. My diving buddy was Lauren Hutton! She was traveling by herself, and Don was so engrossed with his new under water camera that he was no fun to dive with! We had a great time! (I had no clue who she was at the time until someone told me).

I still so love your avatar. I want a baby Hoss. I was thinking it would be fun to name my orpington babies after Gunsmoke characters (Hoss- like you did) but could not think of any girl names from the show.

Hello I am in north whidbey island and about to get 30 chicks. Love living on a couple acres. These are my first birds up here in Washington. I have a question though, how big should I build their coop? I am hearing so many different things but I just want the best for my future girls. Thank you so much for all your help.

Ok I just found out that I have a bunch of tickets to The Walkabout tour with Clinton Anderson to give away... The tickets are for Saturday July 16th, at the ShoWare Center in Kent.
If anyone is interested just PM me, and I will get them to you asap. I was told I have 25 or more to give away, so I am not sure exactly how many I actually have.

For those who dont know, Clinton Anderson is a "well known" horse trainer. And while I may not agree with everything he teaches, you take what works for you, and leave the rest behind.

It's not the hat. It's the angle. I have gotten compliments on Mr. H's bucket hat he got for hiking because I wear it at a rakish angle. My sister is a milliner. it's my duty to encourage the wearing of hats. I have a wardrobe of them.

I have an old lady gardening hat and I just love it. Very comfortable and keeps the sun out of my eyes. Functional. Shulda just told em' youse was a hillbilly.

Wayll, seeins how i's had ma haar in pig tals wiff ma hat on top, i guessun i's a hillbilly, sho nuff! But i wuzunt barfoot!

On another note. Chloe about gave me a heart attack this afternoon... I walked over to my mothers place to bring her home. We got almost to the easment between our properties, and she took off running! She got about 4' away from me, and about 2' out into the easment, and here comes my neighbor driving in from the road. I don't think I have ever been more terrified than I was then! Thank goodness these neighbors pay attention and drive slowly down the easment, or she would have gotten hit. And she was only 4 feet away from me! I still get shaky every time I think about it, and my throat hurts from screaming for her to stop.
