Yeah! More Serama babies!!!
I just took some updated pics of my Serama babies from you yesterday. I will upload and post so you can see!

Ok, here's the baby girl yellow chick who I think is wheaton:

Here's the baby boy yellow chick who I also think must be wheaton with a black girl to the left:

Here's the wheaton pair together:

And another:

Here's a black pair (the rooster is for sale, I have two black roo's I need to re-home, pm me if interested!):

The two black Serama roo's available if anyone wants them! Ignore the Ameraucana on the right:

Any anyone who know's anything about Serama's (Jbear? Cloverleaf?), please pipe up with good and bad points on these for showing! I haven't really researched their proposed standard yet, so not sure what is good or bad about them, although these are still young, about 5 wks.

Ugh. I hate glucose tolerance tests beyond the power of words to describe, especially three hour ones. My sympathies are with you.

I know...I mean--what's the point?
lol.png
I have gained 15lbs and I'm 30 weeks along now. I don't eat sugar, sweets, etc and this last test make me queasy/dizzy and feel off....I was not overweight before I got pregnant and the doctor seems to think I'm gaining weight at a good rate (slow & steady). I would HATE to have to be on insulin, if it comes to that...my mom is type 2 and my dad's diabetes is controlled by medicine.
hmm.png
I am hoping mine could be controlled by diet--but as far as exercise--the doctor already said I'm doing a little too much (feeding the horses, dragging hoses, shoveling/raking) and I walk about 2 miles a day just doing my job....and the longer I'm on my feet, the more swollen they become.

They will no doubt have you cut carbs, potatoes, bread, rice, dairy, all the white stuff.
Certain vegies, like peas & squash have high carb sugars...it will make you crazy.

I will ask Deb to come and take a look at the pics, the yellow wheaton girl in the first pic looks pretty good, short back is one of the things she always says to look for. did your yellow chicks have small black spots on top the head?

if your feet are really swollen its time to slow down a bit. I have had one of the 3 hr tests they found nothing but I was not pg then either. It was because i passed out. I have these issues from time to time where I pass out and they can never figure out why.
roll.png
I just had one of those pass out things in april but it was a pretty bad one cuz I stopped breathing. Got a fun ride to the hospital too
wink.png

My daughter has done the suddenly pass out several times, while eating OK & no drugs or drinking.
She was so alramed last time it happened she thought maybe she had had a seizure, woke up on the floor kind of thing.
I told her to go see a doctor.
She said she could not afford it.
I said so why do you stress me out & tell me this is ahppening, but then that you are doing nothing about it???????????????
ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!

So now I just get to worry????????????

Thanks...it's not how I wanted to spend my day off work. I'm supposed to bring a good book.
hmm.png
i wonder if they'd notice if went out & ran around the block a few times?
lol.png

You have to do the over night starve (not even coffee) then they feed ya a sticky little cup full of glucose, and take you blood sample every half hour.
The bad part is it is BORING and HURTS!!!!!!!

Yeah...this is the 3 hour test. She said I have to fast (nothing but water) from the night before. Then they will draw my blood when I get there. Then I drink the glucose--which wasn't a cup--it was a BIG bottle of crap! Then I wait an hour, they draw my blood. Then I wait another hours, they draw my blood. And finally, another hour and another blood draw!
th.gif
They can never find veins on me so I'll be getting stabbed in my hands & wrists, more than likely.

Oh great!
hmm.png
I like potatoes but I'm not a big bread person...dairy is okay...I like jasmine rice.
sad.png
Peas & squash? I just planted A TON of both in my garden!
lol.png
Although with our mid-40s weather, dark/cloudy and pouring rain--who knows if I'll get a garden this year?
