you might need to go on a modified MEVY diet --- meat, eggs, nonstarchy veggies, and yogurt

often prescribed for those with candida overgrowth

sure levels out the blood glucose .. though if in fact you DO have candida in the intestinal tract, you will feel for a week, as if you had flu

keep up with all the prenatal vitamins, etc ...

best to you -- I've battled hypoglycemia for years, and dealt with hubbys with borderline type 2 diabetes

(same diet seems to work fine for both conditions)

Good luck at your next test!

I failed my first test and passed the 3 hour one. So try not to worry. Good luck!

Yeah I don't think I have candida overgrowth...no flu symptoms...I take my prenatal vitamin every night. I'm not a huge meat eater (especially red meat) and I don't eat many eggs (it's hard to bring myself to when I know what they cost to produce or what I'm potentially losing as far as potential sales!)

But my MIL supplies me with fresh eggs about once a week. I love veggies...not a huge yogurt person though...

I love Atkins induction, but have to have my salad.
I raise too much wonderful lettuces and greens, arugula and cucumbers.
Tomatoes have alot of sugars too, as do carrots & peas.
But a salad a day I believe is a necessity to good health & digestion.

Remember a few weeks ago we were discussing thin shelled eggs and lack of eggs going on right now?
I get alot one day and less than half the next..very strange.
Also I have noticed the shells are thin, almost paper thin even on pullet eggs and fart eggs!!!
Then I had a blood draw, and doc says I an Vit D deficient.
Gawd what a surprise there, even in this weather I am outdoors almost all day if at all possible...I have tan arms to prove it.
But he said get on a supliment since Calcium cannot be taken up by the body unless there is sufficient D.
So, my mind is thinking....maybe that is why the chookies eggs is so thin???????
No sunshine...not enough vitamin D, so not sufficient Calcium "uptake"
Despite the supplemental calcium, oyster shell...if there ain't no sunshine or sufficient vit D in the feed or supplemented to the water, chookie egg shells will get thin.....
Sound reasonable ?
I am going to look into more Vitamin D to get into their water & see what happens.
They have to be suffering from lack of sunlight just as we are !

I'm hoping so...in the meantime, I'm going to eat even healthier and hope that helps!

I am fearing the sticks you will have to have.
I have Raynaud's syndrom..and everytime in the cold hospital my veins shrink up and totally disapear, while extremities turn blue.
There is no blood flow.
I told them a few times NO bloodflow.
They give me hand warmers to place on my arms & hands to get the veins to puff up & stay open.
Maybe take some hand warmers (the chemical type) with you.
break a few open & shake, then place them on your anticubital fossa (inside elbow) and top of hand..see if that helps to keep the veins big & open..good luck sweetheart!!
When is this test?

I have had the same problem! If you find anything out let me know! I take 1000 iu/day. But I had not thought about the chickens. I wonder what you could use as a supplement?
