Of all the classes I took in HS the highlighted were all electives and those are doing me more good than most of the other crap that I was forced to struggle through.

They still bus kids from down here up to the tech school up north if they want to go.
We had a day were we went to the college and look at different careers to help us to make a decision. But it was so hard to know in just one day.

A threaded pipe that goes down into our well that DH dug, somehow got unhtreaded & popped off, and the switch hit, and the pump came on, and well, it is history now..motor fine, but pump is history.
It has worked fantatsic, pumping 3 gallons of water every 45 minutes for months now, this being the well we dug by hand.
The well the big driller dug is still useless.
It gets a few gallons in it over a week or so...useless waste of $5K.......................

So DH is off to the store to buy a new pump.........

...yet another bump in the toad...in the road....toad in the road ??

I am signing off & gonna go rest.
Sinuses are flovin'nover, throat scratchy & hurting....
I pulled out the "bathroom box" where our medicine chest stuff is packed away.
Everything has a 2006 expiration date on it...

Yes that would have been bought in 2005, the last La Nina that hit NorCal & sent rivers & lakes to flood stage...it is far worse this year.

I am going for Grandma's cure-all:
Home made chicken soup, and the BIG mug of fresh squeezed lemon, a shot of bourbon, and a heaping tablespoon of honey.

P.S.
Tomorrow is the 4th, and final alternate shipping date for my Sandhill order.
They cashed the check in December, and the ship date was May 3rd.
If that failed, they said in their January letter that alternate dates were May 17th, May 31st, and June 14th...................I have had NO response from them for e-mails or phone messages.

I noticed too - and that may be a side benefit to acquiring our birds from someone we know. I'm reminded of you often when I interact with our light sussex and barnevelder and appreciate the care they were given before they came to live with us. I also think of you when I'm enjoying my chicks since 2 of them are the light sussex's babies. They are growing like crazy and are so personable. The little roo will have to find a new home and I worry about his future, but I sure am attached to them. I'll have to post pics of them soon since all the chicks are nearly out of their "ugly" stage.

Did ya see my post a while back that he was going to retire?? The boss refused and told him to just set his own hours and days and all he has to do is set in HIS porch swing and talk to people. How awesome ???

He is an asset! Such a great personality! His boss is a smart person!
