3 or 4 years ago we pulled our kid out of public school, We use K12. We got very tired of all the applesauce.
I am one of the few males that could care less about sports and feel its a waste of time. Now I do like 4-H and Boy Scouts.

So sorry you are going through all this! Some craft stores like Michael's sell twinkle lights all year. Maybe an auto parts store or lighting store? Do you have any in your Christmas decorations you could rob?

Auto parts store should have them.

How cool CR!
How is Michelle doin? And Jeff was askin how that part time thing of yours was going? Hopefully well!

She is doing pretty good. goes for her 6 week post op tomorrow and hopes they will tell her partial weight bearing. The part time thing is at the stables and going ok. I am still trying to get stuff made for the lavender fest and not doing too well. Between time and then for some reason things are just not coming to me. When I can get in the shed I just draw a blank!

Has it been 6 wks already?!!!! Let's hope she can get that PWB!
Did you ask me about a star? For so reason I feel like ya did but maybe I was dreaming it. So if I wasn't dreaming, then yes I want a star for my SIL!
Maybe if you just make some of the things you made before that sold it will get your creative juices flowing!

Yes I did ask if you were interested in a star. I just made 2 for ya to look at. I think part of my problem is that this is not a chicken thing and I am lost as to what to make. But as a back up a friend also has a lot of this stuff done up and told me to take it and he will split it with me 50/50. I told him that isn't right and I would do 60 (to him) and 40 (to me). I do have 8 bells ready and will probably take em all. They are all different.

SadieSue, very nice baker's dozen! I love the combination. I've collected a total of only 14 so far and every single one adds a smile and a thrill to my day! Hen #1 is an Ameraucana and #2 is still in question, Heather thinks she might be a Sumatra mix. Can't wait 'til she starts laying to see how it goes. I'm really curious about your Barnevelder... how many eggs do you get in a week from her?

Thank you Carolyn! The Barnevelder just started laying on June 3rd, 10 days ago, and today I collected the 7th egg from her. She's laying like gangbusters so far! But the Ameraucana started laying the very next day and I've collected 6 eggs from her so they are both producing equally well. Once they decided it was time, they didn't let up. Perhaps it's a competition?

The shop delivered my tractor yesterday, so I didn't do much with the coops. The tractor has been down for almost 6 weeks, so I was a bit behind in mowing etc. I swear that given enough time, I can solve all the worlds problems from the seat of that big yellow machine. Well, at least it seems like I can

I did get to HD yesterday and restocked on 2x4's and OSB.

Normal work day for me, 6-2 - ok 6:30 till 2 because I'm sitting here typing this and not in the car already. On the way home I'll stop at Restore and buy some hinges. I think the ones for kitchen cabinets will work for Rainwolf's quail hutches. Once home, I need to knock out a few honey-do's real quick then I can go 'shopping'

I'll watch this thread from work.

I agree that education is the parents #1 job and I agree that there are a lot of messed up parents, but I also think maybe I pay too much in taxes for the education system to just get a SKELETON. And when I entrust my child to those people for 6 hours I expect him to be treated right and respected. They need to stop giving teachers tenure so they can axe the ones that are doing permanent damage. We should get our tax money back so we can afford psycho therapy to right their wrongs and private tutors and lessons. I'm all for that.

And a side note, Red reiner, your situation is one of the reasons people should strike. Don't worry, I wouldn't run you over!
I think teachers get paid plenty, like $70,000 plus a year and they only work 9 months of it. If teachers weren't so hard to fire more would do the job they were hired for and you would be able to staff the schools with the best of them.
