I had a GREAT Fathers Day today

Everybody was GONE and I was home ALONE with my chickens. Worked in the Barn all day

I was VERY careful that my rooster DIDN'T lock me in the Run again

I am here & trying to catch up!!!
We spent most of yesterday working here & getting ready for more shipped babies DUE MONDAY MORNING>>.and thawing & trimming chicken leg quarters, pulling up washing & making a huge 2 gallon salad from the garden, with Italian torpedoe onions, garlic chive flowers, hot house cucs, and tomatoes...and then 2 doz deviled eggs (96 except DH ate a few as always)
then shopping for Dad's gift..we got him a way cool 5 foot tall yard windmill, really pretty.
he loves it.
Then we had dinner & collasped with the allergy meds...in the morning we loaded the van, and just as we were walking out the door, Tumwater Post Office called, and had the chick shipment.
They could sit there until Monday when they'd be put on a truck & arrive here..I said no way!!
So we left the goods at Mom & Dad's, in Elma, and hauled buns to Tumwater, with the secret code, into the main sorting post office, there were my babies.
They are doing great!
We stopped & bought a heat lamp & bulb, and put them in a crate at Mom & Dad's and the whole family loved them!!
Now they are here..having a blast.
Much healthier than if they were chilled all day..that made me so sad..

Babies are safe here now, and we had a great time at Mom & Dad's with the rest of my brothers & sister & spouses'.

She had her lap top & made a slideshow of photos she took, she is a very talented photographer.
She raved about this place, and it is gorgeous!!!
On the beach, warm, no wind, the cabins are awesome, the staff brings fresh fruit and s'mores kits daily.
Each cabin has it's own firepit tucked in a beautiful garden of bamboo, fountains, and sculptures.
It is so gorgeous...anyone looking for an awesome intimate place to stay on the beach, and close by.
She took her nonsense tzu of course.
The place is owned & operated by a gay male couple, who are artists, and do fantastic hospitality and landscaping.
Looks awesome...
