YOU are NOT the worst!!!!!!!!
I think you have perfect values and stand up for your values & beliefs !!

I'm teasing....my DD was mad at me the other day and told me this...but funny one of her friend's had called her mother this...I saw a friend on FB whose child had told her this. Must be an epedemic or something.

It doesn't bother me, because you are right.....I am instilling morals and beliefs and work ethics and respect for people and animals, etc. So If I get the award....I want a big shiny trophy....cuz I am doing my best.

BTW...thank you

Back at ya!!

OK, I am shopping for some of that super sticky rat trap paper...gonna give it a try.
My rat keeps running around & avoids every trap I have, no matter the bait.
So I guess I will pick up the necessary wood to get the hive box or 2 and a super or two to get it done today~~~

Nope.
They was yellow & black, the western bumble bee, endangered.
DH says when he went back to look for the engine bolts that had fallen out of the weed wacker, that there were about 50 of the bees crawling around on the ground.
So many, he was leary of approaching, thought they would sting him.
They were not interested in stinging or flying, just walking around on the cut grass.
I cannot find any now.
I am thinking that it has been so cold the last day and a half (and raining) that they all went in their hole & closed the door.
I hope so.
next time it is warm...I will go watch for them to emerge, and catch one to positively identify it as either the western or the rusty bumbler, the western is more endangered and the society is asking anyone who sees ONE to contact them, probably to keep records of their numbers.
But I have a very healthy subteranian hive here, oh so rare..so who knows, maybe 'they' will come out & study it?

I'd think twice about telling that society. Probably be slapping some protection regulations on you much like the regulations they have if you happen to have a bald eagle nest on your property. A friend of mine lives in N Dakota and are in that flood and had to evacuate their home. The flooding is not just from rain and snow melt. She said the Corp of Engineers held back routine water releases because of an endangered nesting bird. Now with the rain and snow melt there is so much water they have to release it all at once.

well most of us - I have been told I am the worst mother in the world....but I can't be....because my mother was.

And you are probably (said to be) a terrible mother because you wouldn't allow something that you had the wisdom to know was not good or right for some reason.

Hate to burst yer bubble but it is really getting late to "start" bees this year. Without drawn comb thye won't have enough time to draw comb then put in stores plus draw in time for the queen to lay the next batch of eggs.

However I may know where there are some working hives for sale. Or if you get the woodenware I can probably make you a split next year.

If your hair is really heavy and grows fast, don't cut it unless you wamt to spend a lot of time at the hair-cutters (or learn to do it yourself, which I've had to do). I have mine longer in the summer so I can pull it back out of the way, otherwise it's like wearing a furry hat.

I have two of these... Its just to bad that they dont hold up to the wind I get here...

The only place I have that's flat enough to put it is in a cut below the house; to keep from losing a parking place, it would need a day with a chainsaw (it's full of plum rootsuckers), barrier cloth, and ten yards of gravel, which seriously changes the idea of "free."
