I ordered from Meyer. I bought one each of Australorp, Buff Orpington, Dominique, Delaware, Golden Laced Wyandotte, and Speckled Sussex (all female).

I haven't started on a coop yet. I've been talking a bit with VF though.

I'm going to be out of town for a month (returning August 28th), so I have plenty of time to deliberate coop plans.

I am EGGGGGsausted!!! Had to get up at 3:00 am to take my mom to the airport. Couldn't sleep a wink before that. Got home and back in bed at 5:00 am. Slept maybe an hour. Took DD to drivers ed, slept 1 more hour and that is it. 2 hrs sleep last night is not enough! Home now after running the kids all over this afternoon, and hitting the hay! Hope to catch up with everyone tomorrow. Missing this place after hardly being on all week during mom's visit.

Oh! And DH finished my serama coop!

Just need to paint some of the trim and wire in the run. Will post pic's soon!!

Anybody ever grown parsnips? I just planted a short experimental row. Don't know if the family will go for them!
Anybody know what they taste like?
