My two english orpingtons are LOUD! the two barnevelders are almost as loud. Your OE (yeah, she turned into a boy as well) is loud as well but stops about 1/3 of the way through, and that little mantan cochin, he crows his heart out, but he's just not very loud. DD says it sounds like he's calling "I'm a Rooster, I'm a Rooster" in case the big boys couldn't tell.

I have 18 overloaded bushes and planted 8 more early this spring.

My rasberries are SOUR as heck this year. Wonder why...any clues anybody? CL?

Apparently not, although there's the deep blackberries where things get hidden.

I can make it rain by going outside and getting to a point in my tasks where I can't just drop it and run.

Maybe it has been too cold there?

My raspberries are "on" the porch under cover & get NO sun even on a sunny day...so cannot be no sun.
Maybe your variety needs more warmth?

I just finished 3 half gallon jars of anti-pasto pickles.
They are in an apple-cider/sugar/wine brine with celery seed, mustard seed, a sprinkle of pepper corn mix and a few chunks of anaheim chili per jar.
So they will be sweet/tart/slightly warm.
They have to sit at least a week before I get to try them, and that is harder to do than watching eggs hatch!!!

DH has to do the CA trip again.
