After reading the first 6 words I notice I read the rest with my best attempt at an Irish accent.

Hey, Jynx! I've got relatives up around Elk Plain, and got my favorite chickens from a lady in Graham.

Bad boy!!!! We just butchered our mixed cockerels so things are getting back to normal and my 8 RIR X pullets are at POL and started laying tiny eggs!! They are so cute!! Yea I don't take to nasty roos either, I kick them to kingdom come!! I have learned a thing or too on here about nasty's roos and I've hung them by their legs and pushed them down on the ground and held them, then everyone else picks on them!! but, guess what? they don't mess with me again!!!
I'm so glad you like your new job!!! that's cool!

I'll look, but I'm not optimistic. Besides the chickens, we have a dog and a cat. We have a big lot by Seattle standards, and I wouldn't want to go smaller. My son attends the elementary school that's half a mile away. And DH already whines about how long the commute is, so he's not going to want to go further north.

okay ! it WAS a double yolker

no wonder Dierdre RAN and jumped in the nest box

looks like I will be getting "petite" eggs from her, but oh so tasty ...

(the double yolker was about the size of the slenderer "medium" eggs from the store)

and yes, looks like they are fertile also, there were definitely bullseyes on all ...

I opened yesterday's newest egg, and the first two that were laid

DH is thinking we need to rehome the roo ... I'm thinking that some of you might want nice fertile EE eggs
from a hen laying pale mint green eggs and a roo carrying the blue egg gene

let me know ... surely some of the rest of the girls will be laying soon, they are all the same age,
and at least three others have reddened, larger combs now
