Got home around 4. I had a friend coming over to show me how to butcher chickens....a man pulled in behind me as I pulled into the driveway. I recognized him. He has some 80 birds and sells eggs for $2.50 a dozen. He was wanting more birds. I went and showed him what I had. My buff orps had been split pullets and cockerels. He bought all my pullets. Also I have 13 generic chicks that I have no idea what they are. He wants most or all. All the cockers have now gone to freezer camp. So in one day I got rid of almost every extra bird I have. This is crazy. But of course, after he left one of the young birds has decided to not look so good. Kind of weak and down. It is now in the house. subq fluids. Had had some oral fluids with corid in it. I don't know if it is sick or just got to hot playing.

DH was worried about letting the birds out to free range whle we were butchering as he thought they would get stressed. Well, we had to chase them out of the way. All roos are now cooked up or in the freezer.

I have also done that with peach and one of the fav's here is when I get red apple rings.
